Can't make purchases in game app

Hello, Has anyone been having trouble with the purchases in the game app? I keep trying to buy the episode pass and it just never stops loading. I've tried attempting other purchases to see if it's possible, but I get a message saying that time has expired. However, if i attempt to buy crystals, I can do it. I tried to reach EA for help and they just told me that what i should do is buy in the web store, not on my mobile device. 

Has anyone had any similar issues?
