CC-2224 "Cody" - Rework Idea




Greetings to everybody,

Writing today's Rework Kit concept idea for one of the best Clones in the galaxy, CC-2224.

Cody is a Marshall Commander (the Highest military rank for a Clone Trooper) who has served the Galactic Republic even when it dissolved into the Empire. He is the right hand man of High Jedi General Obi Wan Kenobi and the Commander of the 212th Attack Battalion. Due to his extensive training, discipline and leadership, he is one of the best commanders. However, due to being a by the books clone or for some unknown reasons, Cody does not remove his inhibitor-chip thus staying loyal to the Galactic Empire. In Legends, he is said to have become a high-ranking officer in the Empire that oversees the new Stormtroopers' training and is simply disgusted by their inefficiency and unprofessional attitude, missing the days of the Republic when their elite Clone brothers trained and fought relentlessly.

So without further ado, lets get into it:

CC-2224 Commander "Cody" Rework

1) Alpha Strike (Basic Abillity) /Omega/

Deal physical damage to target and gain 30% turn meter. Gain an additional 20% if the target had more than 50% health and an additional 20% if they had less than 50% turn meter.

2) AT-TE Mass Driver Cannon (Special Abillity) /Omega/ CD:3

Deal physical damage to all enemies and Stun the primary target if at least 2 Critical hits were scored. If at least 3 Critical hits were scored, remove 30% turn meter from all enemies and Daze the target enemy for 2 turns which cannot be resisted.

3) 212th Attack (Special Abillity) /Omega/ CD:5

Call one random ally and all other Clone allies to assist, dealing 30% less damage. Reduce the cooldown of this abillity by 1 for each critical hit scored. If this abillity is off-cooldown on Cody's next turn, he gains Defence Penetration Up and Speed Up for 2 turns.

4) Ghost Company Commander (Leader Abillity) /ZETA/

All allies gain +30% Critical chance and Clone allies gain +20% Critical damage. Commander Cody gains +60% Defence for each Clone ally and Clone allies gain half the amount. Additionally, whenever Clone allies use their Basic abillities, they recover 5% Protection. Cody is immune to Daze.

Base Stat Changes:

Base Speed increased by 15.
Base Protection increased by 35%.

Gear slightly reworked to give additional physical critical rating instead of Special damage and Special crit rating. Special damage gear and abillities should be removed and replaced by physical damage.

Cody is a critical hit bonus based attacker. However, his base crit chance is quite low and his damage output is ridiculously low. With this kit, I have added considerable amounts of offence and well deserved bonuses to his special abillities.

His Basic allows him to gain more turn meter even the bonus conditions aren't met.
His Special isn't a mediocre, mostly ignored abillity anymore.
The Mass-Assist is a lot better that allows Cody to do considerable amounts of damage at the very least.
  • Needs a unique to make him usable outside of leader, and I'd prefer if GR allies could get some of the same bonuses as clones

    Yeah I though about that as well. However, IF we make GR bonuses instead of Clone ones. This would make the Clones LEADING the Jedi (which is always the other way around), so I thought it would clash with the lore and everything. I think that's why Rex also has a lead for only Clones (and half for others)
