CC-2224 "Cody" Leader

From game files: +5% Critical Chance

Clone allies gain 30% Critical Chance, and other allies gain half that amount. Cody gains 50% Defense for each living Clone ally.

Also considering next gen buffs, adding something to his aoe cannon ability along the lines "If this ability is on cooldown, Clone allies gain 30% Offense, otherwise they gain 25 Speed.

This would address many of the issues with clones from their poor speed and survivability, to lack of damage. Start off with some speed boost that switches later to offense. Defense also dwindles as the match goes on.
  • I agree with josh, clones gain half of codys defense and add clone allies have a x% chance to remove an enemy buff when dealing damage. This gives them a chance to work around a taunt, butt not a guarantee.

+5% Critical Chance and Clone allies recover 5% Protection whenever they use a Basic ability (Clone allies gain half of Defense buff at all ranks)

Are you seeing if we're paying attention because fives. Fives is pure basic and has massive protection. This may not withstand testing, however much I like it :)

  • Oh wow. Very nice indeed. Remembering that you are foregoing GK lead here this seems fair. My main complaint about cody lead is that damage is so non competitive. This is a good start but they definitely need something in the dps department.
  • Just did some stat analysis at level 85 here with some assumptions made about stat availability on mods:

Given the low damage output of a Cody full clone team, this seems like a legit way to increase their survivability. Thematically it works well as a 5-alive clone squad will have a very large defense bonus and as they get killed one by one, the bonus slowly disappears, meaning the ehp gain per basic starts to dwindle.

Bearing in mind that fives will most certainly be left for last, his apparent massive bonuses will count for much less than the squishy clones. Also, letting the protection gain apply to basic abilities is a good balance.

I think this is a great start to make a big difference to clone squad viability!
  • More buffs! Can we push this to 20% offense on basic? Even chirpa gets this

Clones still need some more love, but I had to cut the 10% damage on basic because it sent their raid damage into the stratosphere. :open_mouth:

Hmm this is unexpected. Running Cody clones in raid yields really poor scores at the moment. Apart from CSP1 they have no offense bonuses. I'd imagine they are pretty sturdy from the heals though.

PVP side of things, they simply don't have enough offense nor can they stand up to the current meta of Chaze, EP TFP etc. If you compare point for point they are outclassed completely. Echo, CSP1 and Cody still need significant tweaks to their kits to make them pull their weight.
