If the intention is to kill the game, why would they trial this with a closed test and involve the community? In its original form, it may not work well for the player base, but they are seeking feedback. If they receive decent feedback, they may develop something that works better for the player base.
They are receiving feedback.
"Lower the damage increases and decreases for the Relic levels, so the disparity gives higher Relics more of an advantage without completely shutting down anything lower."
Yet the splurge of threads predicting an exodus based on the first draft of an update. My point is, we still need to see how they respond to this feedback before all these dramatics.
