Character Suggestions to Improve the Seperatist Faction
The Seperatist Faction is one of the most consequential factions in the star wars universe that rivals the Galactic Republic, Rebels, and Empire but seem to have been one of the most ignored factions for quite some time we have a GL for each of those factions and not one for the Seperatists on top of their teams being incomplete as its one of the few factions that should have a large variety of units but just doesnt.
Here are some suggestions to help with future eras and hopefully add some incredible units to the game. This isnt a fan kit list just units and who they can work with.
I would like a count dooku gl with a new grevious as his "lifter". They are the main faces of the Seperatist movement and the main enemies of our heroes.
Durge jango and AD-W4 as his team that have their payouts unlocked like jango does with sepratists leads. All three are BH/Mercs who have worked for the Seperatist to their deaths. This adds a unique team that doubles as a BH type team similar to another jabba you could alternatively make them mercenaries too if you dont want them to synergies with BH instead. Could be something to play around with.
The tactical droid to be a lifter for droid GG that replaces b1 and helps him keep banners in GAC. GG is actively the most important unit for the team but also their biggest weakness. Him constantly killing his own team makes it tough to use on offense were banners matter and bad on defense where his team becomes paper thin. While not a kit suggestion, adding something like if gg is lead at the start of leads turn all allies get 10% protection up equal to leaders max health. This would stop him from killing his team while keeping the ramp going and eventually even a 2% protection up will be massive as GG gets more max health. I would recommend to also rework stap to not hinder the team outside of GAC thats way to punishing and restrive.
New seperatist droids lead by General Kalani taking droideka and b1 from GG with BX super commando and dwarf spider droid as the tank. Can be a focused TW team but useful outside of it like DTMG. These are some popular droids and this could be a super interesting mix up to GGs style instead of hyper offensive lead it can be a more defensive lead that punishes opponents aggression and ramps b1 to eventually swarm the opponents.
Then some new separatist character to join and lift up Admiral Trench. Idk who maybe Krell even if he didnt officially join. Or the one tank commander from the clone wars movie with snips introduction that kenobi stalls with a fake surrender. If you dont want that you can always touch up poggle and trench to work together.
Geonosians are a weird bag for one I think brood alpha is a perfect lead but they have definitely been power crept I think a new omni for GAC and TW would be appreciated but if you must add a new character it could be the queen as a large unit.
Finally ships I know many people would want a new capital ship with trench in it. I wouldnt be opposed to the idea but I have a suggestion the ship diversity for the Seperatist is really bad. I would suggest adding the droid troop transport and rhe tri fighter droid to support the Malevolence as the first ship to have an entirely crewless fleet this would give them 4 ships and they can always take the ig2000 as a droid ship too. This could be a interesting counter to profundity.
On that note a new bounty hunter or mercenaries fleet to create a new Seperatist fleet with a trench capital ship with the jangos slave 1, durge rogue class(similar to cad bane's ship) and ad-w4's Sheathipede-class transport shuttle(similar to the phantom 2). And the geonosian ships can be either run as reinforcements for either fleet or as a mainline for Trenchs ship and these new ships as reinforcements.
A suggestion that isnt seperatist related please give Hounds Tooth tenacity up for 2 turns on reinforcements over a flat 25% tenacity boost. Fleet battles are too fast for that effect to ever matter and this buff would keep executor from pulling the mark VI interceptor from Leviathan just to counter Leviathan. It would also make the Leviathan counter with Executor consistent on offense and wont really change the matchup defensively since the offensive counter requires manual input and specific attack ordering. This is especially relevant in GAC and TW as you need multiple fleets.
