- TamtelSkreejUK6 years agoNew SpectatorI’ve just completed Greedo’s stage of the BH prestigious quest only to be welcomed by needing to complete TB battles with IG88. Since my guild is likely never to return to the DS TB, I’m limited to Geo TB. This makes this element of the quest all but impossible for the foreseeable future.

And don't start talking to me about Galactic War - I used GW exclusively to get my 500 Boba contracts filled. In the time it took to fill 500 contracts, I found and killed a total of 2 Wampas in GW. There's a concept in ecosystems biology called "functional extinction". This is when there are so few of a particular species left that it is impossible, without artificial interventions, for that species to survive even though there are a few members left who haven't croaked yet.
Wampas are so rare in GW that they'd never find each other to breed. GW certainly doesn't have a useful population for wampa hunting. Heck, I'd probably be sent to prison if I got caught with a pelt from a GW wampa, they're such an endangered species.
We. Need. Wampas.

actually ewoks can be easy if the forest ambush (or whatever its called) is happening. as long as your empire/droids aren't that good you can hit auto on the last stage, kill so many ewoks and then die and repeat.
no energy wasted ^^ "Woodroward;c-1913319" wrote:

... So I am pretty sure that Dark Side Geo TB replaces Dark Side Hoth TB, not Light Side Hoth TB.
Light Side Hoth TB is where all the Wampas are, so what you are saying isn't true.
Wampas galore in Hoth TB that no one gets to opt out of yet.
Now if you were trying to farm IPD shards, you're not getting those for free anymore, Galactic Bounties or GET2 currency.
EDIT: Though I suppose you can't use BH in light side TB so my comment is rather irrelevant.
I don't really care about the wampas but...
Geo TB replaces both, you can see on the calendar where it is set to run at the same time as both. And wampa are in dark side Hoth TB not light side, specifically only 5 are farmable in the second phase special mission using bounty hunters.
Don't really care about the wampas because the reward for the achievement is so low just want to clarify.
Didn't realize it replaced both. I actually didn't realize they put it on the calendar, last I knew they weren't doing that yet for some reason.
There are more Wampas in Light Side Hoth than Dark side Hoth though. (light side Hoth faces Dark side characters, like Wampa). Irrelevant though since all BHs are dark side (which I figured out after I posted my comment, this conversation is kind of back and forth between wampa locations and farming BH quests).
I'm pretty sure there are no wampas in the light side Hoth TB combat missions. I have never seen one in a single light side Hoth combat mission and I've been playing that TB since it came out way back when. It's always Hoth rebel soldiers or other rebel characters in those combat missions.
I'm not posting this to try and be difficult with I just don't want people to have the wrong information. Because I have never seen a wampa in light side Hoth TB that I can recall.- theXrono6 years agoRising Adventurer

i agree thier were never wampas in Hoth light side. in-fact wampa wasn't a character until the Dark side Hoth was released (if i remember right) - MasterSeedy6 years agoRising Ace@flux_rono
we have plenty in lower arena,...
When was the last time you killed a Wampa in Arena? Go ahead. Check your records. I'll wait.we have plenty in ... galactic bounties.
There are none in Galactic Bounties II. Not a single one.
There is one (1) in a single tier, the top-tier, of Galactic Bounties I. It is the final enemy, so you can't beat it without winning the event. Since you're allowed to play 2 victories per occurrence, this means you get 2 Wampas max each time the event comes around. It's been 43 days since we had GBI come around. Before that, it was 47 days. Before that, it was 62 days. Before that were two waits of 1 month each, and one wait of 62 days again.
That's an average of around 6 weeks, so one wampa every 3 weeks. You get another 1 wampa every 3 weeks if you manually play through every single GW node every single day, which is tedious at best. You have literally no data showing that Wampas are available in "lower arena", and people playing in the top 500 have no idea how far they would need to drop to find them if they even were available, which is not guaranteed. Moreover, even if they were available in Arena, that wouldn't be EA/CG supplying the enemy wampas. That would be other players, and our ability to win achievements shouldn't depend on the whims of other players.
So the only sources of Wampas that we know of are two separate sources each averaging one wampa every 3 weeks, which means a total of 1 wampa every 10-12 days. And that would require you to tediously play out every single GW node.
Best case? Complete tedium gets you your wampa requirement filled in only 500-600 days. And if that finished the entire BH quest - or if you could work on other elements of the BH quest while you were working on Wampas - that might be okay.
But what's actually going on is complete tedium gets you stage 1 out of SEVEN in 500-600 days. If you can't handle the boredom, you'll get your wampa requirement done in only THREE YEARS... and then can proceed to stage 2 of the BH quest.
Yeah. Your solutions are totally workable. Why didn't I think of those? - theXrono6 years agoRising Adventurer

Hey i never once said this was the 100 best and fastest solution. All i pointed out is that their are other ways to farm them besides GW, and that they arent extinct like the original post is saying. Aka without hoth their is no way to farm them. Which isnt true.
And again i said we could have more ways to farm in other modes, it would be great if thier were more for others. - jsilvey21506 years agoNew SpectatorI think the main point here is how the dev’s completely overlooked a facet of the game with no regard or care of creating new avenues to complete them.
It’s so frustrating to essentially have the tap turned off on you mid quest with no new path to completion.
Yes there is maybe 1 Wampa in GW what once or twice a month? And the idea of dropping out of the top 50-100 in arena to maybe find one (or what ever is needed to complete what ever prestige quest you are on) in the 500s is not a realistic option for the majority of us.
I love this game. I’ve played it basically everyday for 3ish years? And I feel like it’s just another massive mistake by the devs to overlook this component of the game. (insert comment about not being shocked the devs/cg/ea only care about parts of the game that make them money).
This is just a simple part of the game but I think a lot of us on here are completionists. And with the way we have to choose our TBs that just made this virtually impossible.
Here’s to keeping the conversation going so someone actually sees this and addresses it. ?
