Coliseum KX/Zeffo Tomb Guardian soft lock
Description:
I encountered what appears to be a soft lock involving KX Security Droid and Zeffo Tomb Guardian during a Zeffo encounter.
Once the battle reached a 1v1 state (KX vs ZTG), the fight entered a continuous loop where no progress could be made by either unit.
What happens:
KX attacks ZTG
ZTG loses Armor Plating stacks
ZTG immediately regains Armor Plating stacks (on hit / via kit effects)
Net result: no meaningful damage is dealt
This repeats indefinitely with no change in outcome
Observed behavior:
Battle left on auto for approximately 30+ minutes
No unit was defeated
No visible reduction in ZTG survivability over time
No timeout or resolution mechanic triggered
Why this appears to be an issue:
This interaction creates a stable loop where:
Damage output ≈ mitigation + recovery
Neither unit gains an advantage
The battle does not progress or resolve
This results in what is effectively a soft lock, requiring the player to manually exit the battle.
Reproduction conditions (from my run):
Occurred in a Zeffo Tomb Guardian encounter
Final state: 1v1 (KX vs ZTG)
KX did not have sufficient burst or mechanics (healing immunity, armor shred, etc.) to overcome Armor Plating regeneration.
I let the fight run for over 45mins. I attached a 1min screen capture of this issue.
