The unfortunate thing is, over the last couple years their concern for end-game players seems to have gone to the nether realm. All of their new packs, new options, new shinies are aimed at new players. Sure there are things we benefit from, but I think only as a result of being end game, not because CG was paying attention to us. The coliseum just makes it even worse because at 15 mil I can take any character to R7 fairly easily. This just hinders end-game players from building new characters right way and pushes a $450ish cost on a character we can only use in one stupid event system.
CG is expecting us to pay hundreds of dollars for characters we can't even use for 3 months, nor with the ability to seem them being tested by Ahnald or other content creators first so we can make an INFORMED DECISION about spending money and resources on them or not. So what happens if one of these coliseum characters is garbage, CG? You gonna refund everyone the money they spent to get them 7 star?
Whoever at CG is making decisions has zero common sense and it seems no one is telling them, "hey Richard, that's a dumb idea and it's not gonna work" along with, "you know we should probably put more priority on fixing bugs and technical issues with the game or they're gonna get worse, especially with new updates." OR, people are saying that and the leadership ain't listening. I don't know which is worse, but either way it impacts players negatively. And that doesn't seem to be a concern for the powers that be in CG or EA, whichever it is.
I am inclined to believe that the root of the problem lies with management, because as someone who has worked in the gaming industry, I can say with certainty that the departments involved in game design (logic, plot and essence of the game) surely know perfectly well what should be done, but they are simply not allocated the money to do it. Instead, money is allocated to new, unnecessary things aimed at short-term, possibly even one-time, large profits.
I think that departments dealing with sources of income from SWGOH are sponsored much more.
