Dengar the Disappointment: Can Dengar be used without Rex

Not sure what the pull is to use EE, but if I had Rex I could use Teebo Rex Phasma 5s and QGJ. This is what a couple of my guildies use and it gets 8 mil. Seems like the key is Teebo QGJ and Rex no matter what.
