Destroy effects and damage reflection
In the current GC I brought in Nihilus for bypassing the damage reflection. I figured I'd use Malak's drain and Nihilus' Annihilate and have a fun time.
But when I did use Annihilate Malak didn't have taunt up and CAT immediately killed Nihilus. This seemed weird to me b/c even though I wasn't watching too carefully, I was sure that Nihilus had had green health before annihilate and that CAT could not have used Force Leap (both because I would have noticed the animation but also because it wasn't off cool down).
So I ran it again, and sure enough when Nihilus uses Annihilate, which is a destroy effect, he takes damage which reduces him to red health. The damage doesn't seem to be equal to the other toon's current (or max) health+protection either.
So
1) what's going on here,
2) is it ever possible to die from your own destroy effect? If not, why not?
3) this has to be a bug, right?
4) will they at least rewrite the description of the GR ability to state that it also reflects Destroy effects?
I would probably have noticed this in Conquest long ago, but I hate DR so I tend to avoid Padmé squads, and when i don't avoid them, I'm using Rey + non-combatants. Load up the right disks and they kill themselves (with a little nudge from my toons while Rey's damage immunity is up). That's assuming this is all working the same way it always has. Or, who knows, this could be a new bug with this GC or maybe a GC-only thing that for some reason doesn't happen this way in Conquest.
Whatever it is, GCs and Conquest have been around such a long time I'm sure I'm not the first to notice this, so what's up? And will it ever be fixed?
