Ships are awesome! I finish battles in less than 2 minutes...by targetlocking everyone then using fives to blast all of them outta the sky... it is one thing that never gets old... fives nuclear umbaran missle pods.
Too bad AI won't do the same. Mace AI is terrible and speaking of nuclearize i've found Tarkin lead way deadlier.
Anyway your TL still is hidden behind tons of RNG, requires pilots no one cares about and wouldn't work against Sun Fac.
One of the main issue in ships battles is that specific design that makes you farm and gear a toon you don't have any use otherwise. You also have to spend ressources on ships you could spend on other mandatory toons or even zetas.
Now speaking of fun i don't think it has necessarily anything to do with success or failure. My wife has regularly been around #20 with an Ackbar lead and she was only using auto-battle. Because she finds this fights too long, boring and not much reliable.
The hater argument is quite disrespectful and really poor, as usual.
