I am quite certain the community managers would much rather return to the developers with the positive engagements, give information about which direction to sail for calm waters, instead of just throw out a bunch of lighthouses to avoid a few craggily rocks.

So when you log in to live chat, remember that if you actually want change, tell the managers what you love about the game and any recent changes, not what grinds your gears

You mean like "we love when CG tests things properly prior to release" and "we love it when CG don't nerf things after release once players have invested crystals and resources into them" or "we love it when CG actually answers questions honestly and promptly"?

Kinda hard to tell them about 'good' things when they seem determined to NEVER learn and keep doubling down on the really bad things!

Doja chats twice a week on the discord of a beta tester and he contacts a mod beforehand to filter out most of the negativity so it's naive to say we have availability to him and to ask him questions we want. If you go read it most of it is glad handing and while some game questions come up he mostly deflects them.

Except Doja go to that discord You mentioned and talk mainly of food and unrelated game things.

Yeah along those lines. Key point being you pick when your mods are locked for the next GaC round and eliminate accidental joins when people are perhaps thinking it's still review / not a new join.

I got out of it:
Ranger needs to be throttled back. He’s not an official rep, therefore doesn’t need to answers questions aimed at them. Neither Crumb or Doja addressed the Ahnald issue while Ranger said lies.

CG does not seem to be connected to the player base at all. They missed the boat on matchmaking and LSGTB completely. It’s like they don’t even play their game.

It was another prime example of why these “dev” interviews are not really good. “Maybe one day” “Perhaps” “Can’t go into that”. “We did that on purpose, but can’t tell you the purpose because reasons”. Basically they said nothing other than the Mace rework. If we can’t get solid answers to the most burning community questions, then the Community manager role, or roles in this case is completely pointless.
