They were bonus drops not double drops.....
As for LSTs- they are designed to let newer players catch up, not everything has to benefit YOU.
Us end game players (I presume you are too but could be wrong) don't need LSTs to relic up characters as pretty much all we have to do is farm the new stuff and there is a clear reason why new characters at r5 should not be handed out for $15 when us f2p (or mostly f2p) need the whales dropping $$$ to keep the game free for others.
