This currently has a success rate of 72.42% in GAC insights, which is about the best against this team, but isn't quite as automatic as your post makes it sound. It still can go wrong quite often, unless everyone that failed just happens to have bad mods, etc. Plus, it isn't exactly fun to take that datacron all the way to 15 just to use it on a completely different team -- what's the point of having a great datacron for JML/JKL teams if you can't even use it with them?

Well said but we have that stale repetitive situation with fleets. It's either executor with Malevolence and raddus or triple meta fleets i see over and over again. So boring not having any option to tweak turn order (except stripping of mods when you are r9), reinforcement order or influence which abilities shall be used as a preset. That would make things interesting again. This focused datacron cost me a few rounds of gac and the mirror match bug was the worst thing they ever did not think of. Slower slkr with drey goes against the trio. Their slkr goes, your drey goes. Their drey goes and we loop 5 minutes where no one can die. Well tested.

I actually think they can be a fun aspect of the game, and they give you a way to differentiate your teams. They can also be fun when they focus on crazy abilities for characters that nobody uses otherwise, like the current Sidious spin-to-win cron.

Where I really dislike them is where they give significant defensive boosts to teams, making them almost impossible to beat. This is similar to the Great Mothers datacron we had a while back, where that one team could completely shut down your TW or GAC. We started to figure out ways around it, but it was still a miserable team to fight. I don't think it's as big a deal for offensive teams, since, even if they are OP, they don't ruin your TW or GAC experience. The original Bane DC was overpowered, but I only have 1 Bane, and he isn't very useful on defense, so I can't just throw him down on D and assume my opponent will get stuck. If we end up with a situations where the best you can usually hope for is a 2-shot, in a game mode where it often comes down to banner efficiency, it's going to be a long few months.

Maybe I'm misreading it, but it sounds like the DS Rey FDC is what got under your skin this time. JMK + CAT + OG Mace + Hoda FDC... you good to go. Does require.... *gasp*... strategy to be victorious.

If nothing can beat it place yours on defence, worst case you and your opponent blocks one wall each and less to clear in the GAC round and it comes down to efficiency on the rest. Best case your opponent has no answer to it and they do not have it and you get a win through section clears. I fail to see a problem with either outcome. I also got mine FTP, and since I punch up in K3 will enjoy facing bigger rosters who do not invest in DC may improve my losing streak.

It seems like I may have worded the original post poorly, as this is the second time I've been misunderstood here: I'm not complaining about p2w. I'm complaining about another DC that upsets the balance of power. 
No, and you're wrong: I'm also an endgame player (13 million) and have nothing else to do but farm the latest toys without having to spend money on them.

Nonsense. I'm not a whale, but a mostly f2p (I buy the basic passes and a few lsbs) end-game player and these datacrons are easily obtainable for free.

It cost me nothing too.

So lets get this right- you have it and complain about it? Right....

Here's an idea- maybe realise the issue here is that you can't resist getting something you don't like and presumably paid for it (otherwise there is no sense in you complaining about the monetry side to it).

You need to have a good look at yourself over this. Pointing the finger of blame at a company who are there to make money in a gaming space that is all about money is showing a huge lack of self-awareness from you. 

It's a shame you think CG still listens to players.  Meathead does, but that's about it.  They don't care what we think or not think because usually what we isn't going to make money for them.  They're also not concerned with long-time or loyal players.  Their focus now is new players and new money.  

FDCs are a new money maker for them because they're making them so ridiculously overpowered.  Not everyone is spending RL cash to get them, but enough are or they wouldn't make a second set.  Regular DCs are also a money maker for them because this is Galaxy of Datacrons now.  New characters come in, sure, but datacrons are just copy and paste at this point and easy for them to roll out from the assembly line.  Characters require actual effort to create.  They drop a bunch of stuff in (whether it's broken, bugged, OP, UP, etc.) and let players deal with it for four months.  If this wasn't Star Wars, no one would be playing it.  CG's goal is to hit 3 billion before they shut down, maybe 5 billion?

I think the real issue that w/ DC's isn't the Raw Power level of them.

It's what they do to the team.

Defensive Based DC's that force the team to TO or flat out Win w/o a lot of luck & just the right team are pretty lame.

It's not even something like, "Well I have 1 too, so its Ok."   The real issue is Defensive Crons can in theory be used over & over again.

They turn the game play into "Impassable Wall" instead of "Creative battle to score the highest points".

Offensive Crons on the other hand seem to never really get complained about.
  No one complains about the Sid Cron.  It does wonders to allow a single toon to perform at a higher level & thus squeak in a couple "Short" points in that "Creative Battle of Points" I mentioned above.

Same concept w/ Omi's that do the same thing  (Wampa/Fulcrum).   
People like them, IMO, because they let you try something new.

A Heavy Regen or full on "Smash" cron on the other hand pretty much won't ever be seen in play by the owner, instead it gets dumped on Defense & walla, Protect the Back Wall, full denial of any points or game play options.

The ReyCron if toned down would have been a great "Pump up SLKR against more teams on offense".
But given SHE already is doing that & now the total blow out in "SMASH power" it puts out you have something that becomes annoying on Defense, which as stated is never fun.
