Drop Rate Discussion
Yes, this topic is very trendy right now which is why I will give my 2 cents on it.
Right now, drop rates are beyond reasonable. I had many instances where I farmed around 40 stun cuff salvages and got 0-2 drop rates. I understand this game is supposed to be a grind, but some things like this isn't reasonable.
It's obvious that nobody should just max a toon right away with no preparing as it would make the game boring. But it's also boring and making many people quit because of poor drop rates. It's time the purple drop rates became increased. Gold gear should be our new grind, not continuing this massive purple gear grind that's been going on for several months.
Shipments aren't a solution as they're ridiculously overpriced. How come it costs 300 crystals to buy 20 purple salvages (holo-projecters) but 1,400 crystals to buy 50 salvages? Shouldn't it be 700 crystals instead? Even then, 700 crystals is a bit pricey.
Fleet Shipments aren't a solution either. That's the most valuable store IMO as there are ship blueprints, zetas, AND amazing toons there. Gear is worth alot but in order to keep up with the game, you can't rely on 5-10 salvages per day.
I think the deadline should be once G12 comes out. It would be ridiculous to have another Teir to grind towards without the previous ones being made easier. I'm pretty sure it's not hard to buff the drop rates by 10-15% on purple gear and keep the ridiculous drop rates on gold gear.
It takes like what? Maybe an average of two weeks to max a toon for an endgame f2p? It does at least for me. If you do the math, 2×103=206 weeks to max everyone. That's almost 4 years.
Please think about doing something beneficial to the drop rates EA, I really love this game and what you've done with it. Please take my words into consideration,
