Easier Access to Zetas?

I'm going to do some speculation here... so take it for what it's worth...

Let's say you want to run the new Luke with all his recently reworked friends...

I'm guessing that team is going to use about 10 zetas to be at its optimum (maybe 9).

So with no head start that's 5 or 6 months of farming zetas to get it fully realized? Maybe a month or two less if you got a head start somehow... and really push for it.

Think that same team is still going to be relevant in a few months once you've finally got them where you want them?

Probably not... it will be scoundrels under Jango... or Nightsisters... or Droids... or Jedi under the next incarnation of Luke... or who knows?

Tl:dr - I guess the point is that zetas take so long to farm that by the time you build up a team it's already rendered obsolete by the new characters that have just been released...

I completely understand not devaluing zetas. When they were first released, I liked that they were so rare. However, this was only because there was a limited selection of zetas to choose from. Now between the Lukes and Old Ben, another 7 have been added. Leia is going to get at least 1, if not 2. St Han will be getting 2 new zeta abilities, and Raid Han will have at least 1.
That's at the very minimum ELEVEN new zeta abilities in less than a week.

This is pretty much what I've been trying to say...

It was all cool that they were so hard to get when there were limited zetas...

they are strong upgrades (usually?) and held a lot of weight when you invested in them...

Now they are a freakin dime a dozen... every new character has multiple zetas... every "updated" character has a new zeta...

Many times previously assigned zetas lose value when new zeta are introduced...

It's kind of like omegas when they first came out... yet amplified exponentially

There needs to be other ways to obtain them or this zeta curve is going to get out of hand

I think the point is more about keeping people invested in ships more than it is to limit zetas.

I think they need to keep them exclusive, it doesn't matter how many are out they need to keep them a difficult decision for a while.

The old ratio was fine - it was a difficult decision. That was when you could have a strong team with 1 zeta, maybe 2-3 tops. I think everyone felt the zeta distribution currently is pretty fair and reasonable. No one wants zetas to become cheap. This leap to 10-12 zeta teams though is way out of proportion. The ratio is now way out of balance. This is a huge shift. If every team comp going forward ends up being 10+ zetas we are all extremely locked in to like 1 team for 9-12 months. That's ridiculous.

we know TB will have a store associated with it maybe there will be a standing zeta in there like fleet does now.

we can also hold out hope for a zeta level on all omega events (probably further out then we would like)

other then options like that i'm not sure they can make it "easier" and not make it too accessible.

Im getting less and less exited about the new reworks along with rebel luke due to the fact i came to the realization i will at best be able to run a maxed out original trilogy squad somewhere in march 2018 if they keep the current drop rates but make ~10 zeta abilities per team.

Would have preferred they kept zetas a rare thing on a few chars, but since they decided to slap a zeta(s) on every character like this they really need to make them more accessible.

They should just vary the zeta cost a bit, like they do with omegas. Some zeta upgrades cost more omegas than others (10 vs. 13), and they could do the same with a lower zeta cost of 16 instead of 20 on less impressive zeta abilities.

Yeah I actually think TB is going to bring something with it or that general update - I don't believe this big leap is without some offset somewhere in the somewhat near future.

What is everybody doing with your Galactic War tokens? Buy ships! Use ship credits to upgrade ships! Arena with your ships! Zeta's!

So you have to make a sacrifice for a while to get your ships up to snuff...you won't regret it when you are pulling in over 1,000 fleet arena tokens a day for playing one match.
