Emperor's Demise (Mythic) start date?

I was wondering the same.

I don’t mind having the event earlier!

Seems strange to have the start date so far back to begin with

Fairly certain that was a typo in the forums but the game is right.

At least I hope so. Also, it makes sense that it's this weekend because the Emperor event started today and Mythic Events run the weekend of their respective normal events.

This event is going to be the hardest event we have ever experienced imo

Check out the calender too, it runs from 18th to 20th there. I wouldn't mind both weekends(not quite) tbh. ;)

In-game is always correct. Even in the past where they confirmed the date on the calendar, and then they noticed the date in game, they did not change the date in game.

Also, it was previously announced that the Mythic events would run on the Sat/Sun during the event run, so it has to be this weekend, since Emperor's Demise starts today. 2/18 is a Sunday, so doesn't make much sense int he context of that announcement.

I REFUSE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT IF IT DOESN'T RUN ON THE 18TH AS ANNOUNCED

Places of power is also moved up, for events like these, i don’t mind their start date was shifted to an earlier date. However, it’s very unusual and needs confirmation. After all, there are other events that we want enough time to farm required characters and gear them. I certainly don’t want those events start early.

It's not that unusual, really. Something changes and no one tells Kozi. Makes her look bad, but I'm not convinced it's ever her fault. I'm sure someone will tag her and she'll give us a whoopsie gif and fix the calendar. To my knowledge, this kind of thing has never happened with a first run event, only repeats.
