They're all still Jedi, it's just the rank of Jedi that is debatable; Jedi padawan, Jedi knight or Jedi master
I'd say Kanan is a Jedi Knight, and Ezra is a Padawan.
To my best understanding, this. Kanan for sure is not a jedi master. I think they actually mentioned Kanan being a knight in some episode.
He was knighted by jedi guardian ghost type people in season two- As much as I hate to give it to him, Ezra is a jedi.
You can break down Jedi kinda like this
Ezra - Jedi (force user, padawan)
Kanan - Jedi Knight (Trained but not advanced)
Jedi Counsel - Jedi Master (black belts of the force essentially)
Grand Master - Yoda (Highest degree black belt) "Mullato;952703" wrote:

No, Ezra never was actually a Jedi.
He's still training in the arts of the Jedi, in the same manner that Luke did.
He is a Sith!
Maul trained how more then kanan"Fear_JarJar;953025" wrote:
Then why isn't assaj a sith?
Because sith aren't jedi. Jedi dont get all particular about the "rule of two". They just do whatever"vessaharja;953113" wrote:
Who were those fools again whom are neither jedi nor sith? The ones that walk the middle ground.
Ahsoka- There's lots of good points made in this thread - and the fact is it just remains to be seen.
I myself would say that Kanan is probably more or less a Jedi at this point, even if he wasn't ever officially ordained as such. Ezra is a little trickier, since he's trained almost as much with Maul and that Sith holocron as he has with Kanan and Yoda's force ghost.
Ezra is very much a toss up - and at this point it's possible he could fall towards either the light or the dark.
But in the end I imagine they'll call them Jedi and Rebels merely for simplicity's sake.
Also, yes, I agree with people who say Ventress and the other Nightsisters should count as Sith. - Kannan was a padawan during order 66, but was knighted in a Jedi temple later on. For those that say this is silly, please explain to me how Luke was knighted?
Ezra is his padawan so therefor a Jedi.
Kannan seems to be balenced in the force while Ezra is obviously battleing being pulled to the dark side. That IS how the story about him. So obviously he is going to be "bi polar" in the force.
I think it's funny that people care if they will be Op while they run around with the likes of B2 battle droid, Jawa engineer, and Genosian Soldier!
The guys in the middle are the bendu. And Disney is moving to make most force users in the middle ( guardians of the whills) ( Chirrut) and Han Solo saying things like, "the lights side and the dark and everything in between" Also Asohka is grey. But she seems to use the light side still. - It would be pretty BA if he somehow had both the Rebel and Sith tag. Haha. Definitely not this version, as he hasn't fallen to the dark side (yet).

I'd have to completely disagree about the night sisters. Ventress is either way it would make sense.
Also Kannan was officially knighted. There was an episode all about it.... I'll look it up.- http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kanan_Jarrus
First sentence says he's a Jedi knight in the description of Kannan.
