Ok, you guys want to know why? Because it's pointless and yeah I've been burned by it enough to piss me off.
The last time, I was out mercing and one of the noob officers abandoned all 3 raids because he upgraded JKA and thought he had to leave and rejoin. Guess what happened. I am now locked on the raids even though I didn't attack any of them and didn't get rewarded. So if you join the raid and it's abandoned, it counts against your weekly. I filed a bug, and CG in their infinite wisdom says it's WAI.
Well, if it WAI, get rid the stupid button. It's totally useless for Heroic Tier.
And with the game lagging and crashing so much lately, i can see someone accidentally pressing the stupid button.
So, while the button is easy enough to ignore, it is NOT harmless and it is entirely pointless in the heroic tier of the raids.
