Has anybody tried pressing the "go" button directly from the daily quest? I did that, picked a battle that I immediately backed out of just to see, and it completed just fine for me. I'm not sure if I'm an anomaly or if it's a viable solution, and I would like to see other people validate or debunk this.

I tried it. I also tried losing a battle on purpose by using a bad fleet. I also tried timing out. I also tried using all of my attempts for the day.

I managed it as usual so it seems like this has been an intermittent issue affecting only some players. Is it only players who had the feat active and incomplete when they pushed the update? I’d done the feat for Wednesday before the update and my reset was then after and it worked.
I did. Everything as usual for me.
Some players were able to complete the daily "Fleet Arena" event today.
i started a couple battles from "go" and the others from the ship arena tab. neither way worked for me
A guildmate said he ran a fleet battle earlier today as usual and it triggered the quest. It's probably just a one-off from them adjusting quests in the middle of the day. While I doubt we'll be properly compensated (thanks CG), I'm just glad it doesn't appear to be a recurring issue.
