As an aside, it seems as though this, combined with the change in fleet rewards (crystals at the top - making it extremely top heavy) is indicating a shift away from f2p and lesser spenders to a much stronger "whale favoritism" than in the past. Not that the 20k reimbursements for the TB requirement debacle wasn't enough of an indicator.
If that shift is the case, it will likely only get worse in the long run. I know....the sky is falling. lol
I personally don't like fleet arena, so i'm not that bothered about it. In squad arena i don't notice the whales getting ahead, if anything the "slower" f2p players are beginning to catch up.
I do really dislike the most recent update though, for all sorts of reasons. I just don't mind the whales getting ahead, they're paying rediculous sums of money for it ;)
