Mechanically what happens is the Foresight turns the attack into a miss, then the game checks to see if the targrt is Jedi. If the target is Jedi, the miss becomes a hit and does damage.
The important thing that gets overlooked is that because Foresight did its job turning a hit into a miss, the Foresight ends. Unlike when General Grievous attacks, which just completely ignores Foresight and leaves it intact.
