FOST's zeta seems... particularly underwhelming

to be clear, I really like the rest of FOST rework but his zeta.... whenever FOST uses an ability he has a 50% chance to call an assist.... umm, but FOST only has one ability, so every 3 turns when...

Someone correct me if im wrong but I believe his basic attack counts towards this. Meaning even on a counter attack he should have 50% chance to call an assist. If that is how it works that seems pretty beast, if not then just another day at the office for the FO.
