Friendly Duels in Guild

how is this game what, over a decade old, and still does not have friendly dues within guild. this is an incredibly simple feature that can add hours of in game activity to players at no cost to you.

 

comceptually this is very simple

allow all players to set 1 friendly defence team and 1 friendly fleet team

players within the guild can select any in guild ally and attack one of the set teams over and over, no timer between hits and no energy cost, put either of those in place and you ruin it. 

this allows players to hone their skills and strengthen defenses, currently the battle options in this regard are extremely outdated even 10 years ago and just seems silly, I know I am not the only one interested in this sort of feature

    You are not understanding what I am suggesting, it is friendly duels, for practice, completely optional, always available, no times, no restrictions tc, it is a non event feature, no rewards, purely for players to practice attacking, and as a result of that the players u attack can work on their defenses. you can attack or not as and when u please, no pressure or limitations

    I'm sure that'll go down well.  There's a real issue in the game where players have to spend an awful lot of time doing stuff that is really a chore.  Giving more to do, might not go down very well.   TB and Conquest launch at the same time, there's your usual stuff and probably a raid too.  As soon as TB starts, I literally could spend all evening and most of the night doing stuff I don't really want to do.....or to be more accurate, repeating the exact same things I did last month.  

    That said I'd like a guild sandbox mode.  My vision would be everybody in the guild puts say 30 defensive teams (all characters even if on defence are available for offence).  And you have all month to work against everybody.  Prizes would simply be a handsome amount of credits for holds and wins.  Say 100k for holds and 200k for wins.  This would favour the ant-like hard workers that do the sandbox and work on the mods.  The crickets of the SWGOH world who are happy with 2 billion credits and +3 speed mods wouldn't miss out by not taking part and can continue unabated with their cricketing life.

    there is very little to do in game overall especially f2p, also this isn't anything other then practice pvp, no one cares if u wanna engage or not,  it would be completely optional, and no, this forum generally has bad engagement because it isn't great and players have given up expecting change, engagement on this post is above average. ktxbi

  • That's a very materialistic view on things, and dangerously close to CGs own motives of squeezing money out of everyone. Even if there weren't rewards, it would be a fun side activity for players to participate in, unless you wanted to propose a small rewards system for the winner (though such a system would quite obviously be abused, so there's that)

    Not everything has to promise some shiny reward. I still use the GCs to test out some squads because it's easy to select the difficulty level within them, or replaying journey guide battles I've completed just for the heck of it. This game needs some fun activities that don't just feel like some chore to check off the list.

    The reason you don't get much engagement is there clearly isn't a lot of appetite for your idea.

    Whilst I agree it would be fun, I have so much to do in game currently that I simply wouldn't use the mode and like CG I'm not going to engage in any mode that doesn't offer me rewards.

    ive looked at several of the posts and none seem to have much engagement, if we all get our guild mates to engage here we will at the least show CG they wrong about how desired it is (which any half brained baboon does already) lets make it blow up!!!

  • We've been asking for a sandbox mode for almost as long as the game has been out.  CG won't do it because they can't figure out how to monetize it.  They use other lame excuses why, like we won't use it, we'll get bored of it, it'll be a waste, etc.  We would use it as long as TW and GAC are around, even if they haven't been updated in 3&4 years, players would use it to practice vs teams and all the new garbage datacrons they spew out of their assembly line, and new characters from their money grubbing assembly line eras.

    There are lots of quality of life things players have asked for they ignore because they can't monetize them.  They want to spend as little as possible on QA, QOL, "fun" and what players ask for.  (Which is why we've got a pirate era when we should have a fix the game era.)

  • In one format or another, this has been pitched hundreds of times to CG; theres no money in it for them. So sadly, won't happen.

  • Maybe also introduce a live version where it's real time PvP with another guild member, which would really push strategies to the test against a person and not a dumb AI
