GA still defective, and short changing us

You could always have a different problem, like all your opponents having a lot of weak toons, lvl 1 for example. So all their squads used in the actual GA competition are maxed out, or darn close. Giving you little chance of winning or even cleaning the board. At least you are getting the much needed mod slicing materials to get even more 6 dot mods to help you in future competitions. Assuming of course you also don’t have a bunch of weak or lvl 1 toons filling out the bottom pages of your roster.

If I had to toss a coin for 700k credits vs a tier reward (and a coin toss is, on average what it should work out at if people try and matching decent), I'd take the rewards. If you think you "lost" them then you are assuming you would have won if they tried, that is a bit of an unreasonable assumption.

Given that the running argument for reduced Credit Heists has been GA being an alternate source for credits, I think OP has a valid complaint. Seeing as the enemy gave up, its obvious, OP had a good roster depth, so winning is not a concern

They made a good choice by enabling the auto-defenses, their only mistake was underestimating just how petty and childish some people are.

Rather than simply preventing a no-defense scenario, they should have made it so that you aren't eligible for any rewards at all if you leave defense slots empty. Otherwise people will just find ways to keep being buttholes every time they get a matchup they don't think is fair and decide that their garbage roster is somebody else's fault.

I have actually wanted to leave slots empty before - sometimes I plant both Revans in a front territory with the assumption that my opponent won't be able to break through, so no reason to set teams behind them - but instead of actually leaving them empty I just fill them with level 1s. That way I get the points for setting a defense, and I'm not screwing my opponent for no reason if he actually does manage to get through. It's not difficult and it costs me nothing.

But punishing other longtime players that raised GP to help guild in original TB, very disingenuous to bait and switch. Like when a 7* CHS and HRS were originally needed to get ROLO shards, but then they changed it. And they did the right thing by making the players that made the investment to get them both to 7* right away to not miss out whole for their mislead investment.

It's been long enough since GA was introduced that I'm not really buying the "I fluffed up my roster for TB" thing anymore. Yes, it puts you at a disadvantage, but you've had plenty of time to focus on beefing up some of your g7 rubbish into usable teams. I've got a whole pile of g7-g8 characters from my early days- not to mention some guys I leveled to 50 because I knew I'd use them someday and wanted to get a mod set on them - and I still win the vast majority of my matchups.

I don't think anybody is going to buy the argument that you have spent "big money" to take abilities to 7 and G8 your roster.
