Well that's just not true. If you win all 9 battles that's like 300 SR you gained. You'll only lose about 70 or so to the squish.
Also, why do people care so much? If you win 6 you're still climbing.
- The skill rating mechanism means that eventually you'll end up where you belong, and will stay there. That means 50-50% win rate. You can do better only if you improve your roster more than the other players. So basically, go 6-3 each season is impossible. Keep a 5-4 consistently is impressive, and yet you will lose SR points.
- Regardless, one likes to know that his efforts pay off, and not that they are meaningless.
Bottom line is that due to the squishing it's impossible to me to climb to k1, which I really want to
- 6-3 every season isn't impossible, and keeping 5-4 isn't that hard. I was doing it for a long time until I tanked last 3v3 on purpose to drop a bit (down into K3 from bottom of K1)
- Your efforts pay off and are not meaningless. Crystals, other rewards are the payoff.
If you win enough you'll get to K1.
The only way you can blame squish is if you go through seasons with a 100% win rate and squish blocked you from K1. Is that what’s happening. Because squish is impacting everyone and serving a function to enable players to reach K1. By preventing the distance between K1 and K2 becoming too far. So more likely you just need a few more wins per season.
Sorry mate, but you are wrong.
If K1 entrance bar was being asking the top X players in the game, then you were right, because everyone been impacted. But since there bar is a certain amount of points - 3610 IIRC - then you are mistaken. I now have about 3460 points, and without the squish I would have about 3750 points, that would place me inside K1.
If CG will continue squish 70 - 80 points every season, eventually no-one will stay at K1. That's simple math.
I'm also sure you will find that K1 got much smaller during the past 4 months
50-70 squish is typical many manage to stay or get promoted despite it.
