Hi guys. Some thoughts about Galactic War balance (according to the last two days of challenging this event).It's very, very disappointing for me. As I understand, opponents for GW are selected by power of their Arena teams now. And that team power equals to sum of powers of five your best (most powerful) characters. Now, having 47 lvl and team of four 4* and one 5* characters, I have got opps with 52-54 lvl (and 7th tier of equipment of course against my 5th-6th). Almost impossible to beat them. And the reason is star 'weight' in power. One star 'weights' 100 power, as same as ten additional levels of character. But ten additional levels give me way more battle effectiveness (due to higher tier equipment I could use at the first and more improved character skills at the second) then one additional star.There is all about shards in the game, right? So why I need to spend game resources or even real money to obtain shards if I couldn't use them efficiently?Please, do some rebalance into opponents selection for GW, focusing on player's level instead of team power. Or just reduce star 'weight' to more realistic values.Thanks.

Same on most days for me also. I get knocked out in the first or second round. Haven't made any real progress in over two days.

This is basically every fight I have. I fight tooth and nail, often taking two runs and using ALL my good characters only to see another wave of this waiting for me.It's not even worth it for me, I can't win enough to get any sort of rewards, it's basically a walled off area to me...What I expected was steadily increasing difficulty, like say the level of campaign bosses going up, in a sort of "see how far you can get" but making the rewards add up over victories (basically what is meant to happen, judging by how pitiful the rewards are for each individual stage from what I have seen)

Just after I posted above I cleared the board. It's not the kind of strategy this feature should require, but here's an option. If you're matched against a Squad of similar strength consider throwing the first battle by putting in 1 high HP character and 4 that are not part of your primary party. The opponent will waste his Specials on fodder and then you come in 2nd battle with your heavy hitters.

I think its the same for all of us. I meet lvl 60 oponents and if lucky can win 2 battles. I think its to difficult. I dont mind going up against strong players at first, but if their all going to be like this some heavy healing is needed.Still early tho, im sure this isnt the last update galactic war will get 🙂

I've been stuck on the 3rd round for the last 3 days.It's really starting to get frustrating at this point as it's very unfair that the enemy team seems to get the first attack most of the time. When the whole enemy team attacks first and they all have aoe I usually lose a team member before I even get to do anything. Either that or I'm severely disadvantaged from the start as my whole team is already half health or less and my healer won't be able to make his move before someone (or they) dies. 😞I hope the data analysis for Galactic Wars that Aaron mentioned in another post happens soon so they can see how imbalanced the current system is and tweak it accordingly. I don't mind not being able to finish a whole GW campaign but I'd like to be able to at least get past more than just the first 2 rounds with my team.

Gotta say... the last two days I've gotten through about 2 sets (So, 6 wins).

I think some balancing has rushed in.

I'm fighting ~40s int he first three or so, then ~45s, int he second three or so, then I get my arse handed to me by 50+ Promoted Tier VII+ gear level guys.

But the main point is that I have actually gotten enough Galactic War tokens to make a purchase!

Am I getting lucky or is anyone else seeing a much better feeling Galactic War?

I think they may have done some tweaking to Galactic Wars already.
Last 4 days I was always fighting level 55+ but today I started against a team at level 40 and they gradually increased in level from there. I ended up on the 3rd last match against level 54 characters.
So it seems like it's getting better.

Slowly but surely, as expected. Aaron did say they wouldn't really be posting about Balancing changes, since they're so incremental, small, and constantly ongoing. (Although he was tlaking about PvP, I assume this will tranfser to basically all of these "smaller" balancing things.

It's definitely better than it was initially, but it's still pretty much impossible to actually finish - is that intended?
I've got 24 characters all over lvl 40 with my Sidious and consular upgraded to purple and lvl 60 and tier 5. My opponents start off as Greens around level 40 (so no problem) but by the time I'm at the third gold box, my opponents are teams like 6* purple max level with Sidious, IG88, Dooku, Barriss, and Obi-Wan. I'm coming in damaged with abilities on cooldown, and I'm getting obliterated. I'm making it just over half way through most of the time.

I get half to three forth of the way across. My main characters get nailed after a while. I get down to my level 40 something one and two star characters. These are next to worthless against level 55+ teams.

It really becomes a game of who gets to strike first and how often. A few times the opposing teams Sid would strike hard n fast, followed by Dooku. This is the end for any of my weaker characters.

I'd love to see some balancing done here as well. Like a few others, I've been pretty steadily been able to be in the top 10 of the Arena, however, when I get to the Galactic War table, I very quickly (sometimes by the 3rd or 4th battle) face parties that are 10 levels higher than I am, and even with a well-upgraded party, 10 levels is practically impossible to overcome. And if groups that are 10 levels higher are showing up halfway through, I don't see how anyone can reasonable get through the rest. Would definitely like to see some re-balancing on the Galactic War table... a challenge is one thing, but making it essentially impossible isn't reasonable.

I have to agree with the other commenters. The difficulty is way too much. It was fun and challenging at first but I can barely make it past the second round the last couple of days. It seemed to me initially that the difficulty slowly increased as you advanced rounds, but now I'm getting annihilated barely half way with no chance of winning. It's not even worth competing. I'm currently level 54 and have a decent roster, but I had to face a level 64 opponent who had unbelievable characters all of which nearly maxed out in 6th battle!!! 10 levels higher in the second round???? WTF?? Needless to say I lasted about 20 seconds....

I am at level 52, being using my fodder squad to push through the road block squad that are 4-5 level higher than me, but latterly I start to facing lelel 65 squad and after wipe three time, I just give up on GW now. This turn me off on this game now.

Yeah that was another gift EA gave us with new update. But not to worry. You don't need any characters anymore since they made it impossibly painstaking to level them up.

Now you have to spend a serious amount of $ to get anywhere. At least before you had a chance if you didn't want to spend $.

All in the name of almighty greed. Thank you EA!

Agreed to all of this. My first week I blew through the entire table with no issues. After that I have been lucky to make it through the second set of fights. Generally anywhere from the 3rd -5th fight I end up fighting people with 7 star purple teams 10 levels higher than my main team. Even if I took all 40ish of my characters fighting at once could I do anything to these teams. If it wasn't a daily activity requiremwnt, I would just give up on Galactic War, as it just makes me want to throw my phone across the room. Now I just look at the Galactic War achievement for clearing the table 10 times and laugh, as it will never happen.
