Yeah the mod salvage being doubled at the final tier is a kick in the face. In the previous iteration, if you had another team or could finish all but the final tier with the chosen faction, you could get all but one of the rewards. Now you miss out on a significant jump between the second-highest box and the highest box. I get that this is to incentivize rage-spending on the faction, but it seems like this one needs not just theory-crafting, but a full team of R5+ Empire. With both empire teams relying on TM gain, having this against an opposing Hux Zeta is a real hamstring to theorycrafting.
You could rage spend in the previous system too, that has nothing to do with it, as this didnt change.
The events are recurring and doubled in frequency, investing in a proper team to beat it, is a decent choice for any player.
Is it confirmed that it'll be a set pattern and not new ones each time? Fir example investing in bounty hunters is ok if they will be need every month. But if it's only bhs every 4 months, it's kinda a waste. Especially if the gac changes where a different comp is needed every time. Gear 5 bus is one thing. Maxing the whole faction to be ready for anything is another.
No there is no set pattern, but we can watch it with the new cadence and I'm sure we will see repeated faction usage, 8 a month doesnt leave much room to not repeat the major factions, and I dont think we will be seeing a tuskan one any time soon."Nikoms565;c-2203415" wrote:
Not a fan of the crates. I preferred being able to see (and earn), specifically, what I was trying to achieve (or was missing) with the "feat-specific" prizes. Honestly, the crates just feel like a way to hide the reward structure and prey upon the "fear of missing out". But, since I will likely get the "big" crate most if not all of the time, it's a minor gripe. It seems like an unnecessary change, that certainly doesn't add anything from a player perspective.
This (not the fear of missing out part) is probably in part why they went this way. The end goal is always going to be pushing towards development. Players picking and choosing what they want to get (or can get without development) vs pushing on a path to the max reward (which is what they want)- Konju25 years agoSeasoned Ace

I can understand seeking just the specific rewards from specific feats. I will also mostly get the highest reward crate so it doesn’t bug me. I don’t mind waiting until the event is over, though it does seem unnecessary.
I REALLY appreciate not having to go through every tier for every feat. I had to play just a few times to hit max rewards instead of (minimum) 14 for faction and underman feats alone. "Ravens1113;c-2203243" wrote:

lolz at anyone complaining about getting the same rewards on a monday instead of a friday, and especially now that the compensation is 2x rewards.
Double? Waat? Double the mk4 stun guns? Woooo
I know you ignore mods but I'm loving the new rewards because my roster is even faster now.
I forgot all about the mod crunch happening....o could’ve sworn that the big elephant in the room was a several layered gear crunch but maybe that’s just me
Yep I was right you ignore mods, and I think I know why.- With these recent changes to the GCs, the new reward structure makes the new six dot slicing mats very difficult to get. Before, I was able to complete the tier that rewarded them for first time completion but now, I cant get enough of the tickets to get the t5 chest which has those mats in it. Where I am at in the game F2P farming mods this is discouraging as I can no longer farm the mats for getting better mods. I'm sure other people have had this problem as well but I liked the old reward system better. Thoughts?
- I actually like the reward box system as you are getting a fair few mod slices, but that is my opinion
- HolySithblade5 years agoNew HotshotWere getting the same amount of materials per GC, but 2x as much sinceit runs 2x a week.
What OP is saying is that he gets less slicing mods since now you have to get to the final chest in order to get the slicing mods, instead of just the "first time completion" rewards previously offered. - I'm mixed overall. I like the old rewards system better.
I do appreciate the ability to collect previous tiers, but it took me 50-60 tries to beat tier 7 even with the forum advice, so I ended up doing as many attempts as with the former system.
I just beat it in the last 30 minutes, so until then, I thought I was going to miss out on all the rewards (earned in the last crate) which I had been able to earn 90% of the time before (as in "all" the rewards offered).
In the end, I wish that they had implemented earning all tiers' rewards but still given the rewards immediately. - Schwartzring5 years agoSeasoned AceI find the event WAY over powered right now.
Seriously Tier 5 is wrecking Relic-5 characters & lets not even talk about T6. - HolySithblade5 years agoNew Hotshot

Lol. The event still has a day to go. Either youre not paying attention or just looking to complain for whatever silly reason.
