Not a badass, just someone that doesn't want to waste one of (if not the most) scarcist resource in the game if I dont have too. Especially because the further you get in ROTE, the higher relics they have to be to be usable in addition to the omi cost. I know not every single guild does ROTE, but most are skipping geos and going to it.
FYI - just because its GAC or TW doesn't mean its automatically on defense. You can use them on offense too.
Jedi Knight Cal Kestis - I just have the one but these are actually good.
- Rebel Officer Leia Organa - probably good early and mid game but her lead is still so bad. Or you'd have to put like gl leia in the team and at the point just use leia as the lead and save an omi.
- Marrok - probably not bad, does make the reva mission easier. But once you have reva is it really that useful on other planets/missions?
- Captain Enoch - I've heard this makes the remnant battle on mandalore easy so maybe very late game use. Otherwise a waste.
- Captain Tarpals - maybe its not bad but my r8 gungans have a 95+% win rate on any ls or mixed planet. So why waste an omi?
- Kyle Katarn - its not bad. But theres only the Saw SM that requires rebel fighters, and its beatable without it. And plenty of jedi for the jedi missions.
- Imperial Probe Droid - terrible omi and terrible character.
- Wrecker (Mercenary) - admittedly not sure since I just relic him and waiting to 7 star crosshair to finish the team.
- Omega - really only good for ls geo kam mission. But since 501st clones and shaak are both good/gl reqs, wouldn't you rather relic them and just do the mission vs using the omi on bb?
- Carth Onasi - im not sure carth lead OR could beat any missions on ROTE even with it. Maybe r9 and God mods. On the first planet.
- Paz Vizsla - seems decent maybe, but won't help in the mandalore unlock mission, the only other mission mandos are required for they all have to be r9. So only the end of end game players are even going to attempt.
- Cassian Andor - cool sounding and thematic, but im real skeptical rogue one is winning any battles with it.
- Finn - probably a good early and mid game omi. Maybe good for ROTE, but then id have to relic res more and most times id have plenty of teams + platoons.
Hasn't covered (yet):
- Gamorrean Guard - just lol. Jabba and any hutt cartel can pretty much auto any of their missions
- Huyang - maybe theres some ls droid lineup with this that can do some work, but otherwise if youre using huyang you have GLAT and you just dont need an omicron for her to won on any planet, at least up to the first r9 ones.
- CC-1119 "Appo" - this one might be good especially for smoothing out rng on haven class planet and beyond. I might put this on someday.
So yes im coming from the view of a long term endgame player but to me theres just not a lot that are good and you need them, vs just using another team.

Know what else is wrong? Gearing up and putting relics on a terrible character AND giving them an omi in a resource management game when you didnt have to. You know who else makes DV hit like a truck? LV and aphra. Who are good in other modes. And especially since a lot of people are going to have ds clones soon, who cares if DV hits like a truck. 2018 called they want their character back.

And I know because BitDynasty did a showcase on it, and it looks so much fun to use, with Darth Vader dealing over 100,000 damage with his basic
G12. So totally unusable in ROTE. The omi is overkill for anyone actually doing hoth. And for ds geo at this point theres so many teams that are better everywhere else. So why would you put it on? And even if you had IPD relic for ROTE, it really only works in aphra teams (where you can use b2, vader, hk,krr etc) or empire teams (won't work with inqs, who are better, and lv has a ton of more useful lineups). So maybe its good, but you could otherwise put a gac omi on and run something else in tb and your roster will be better for it. Theres an aphra mission in hoth for ROTE but needs r9 and at that point you probably have almost every omi anyway.
