Global time changes and Automatic raid launch.

As the season for time changes begins will this be reflected in the auto launch feature in the raids.

When I go to set an auto launch I see two times. A UTC time and next to it the time in my time zone. When the clocks go back on Saturday night into Sunday will this be reflected in the time I see as my local time? Has this been considered? Is the attempt to fix this the cause of the server problems?

Best wishes,

Turukano

  • Yes. Universal is universal. The gap just widens by an hour when the clocks change.
  • If you launch at the same UTC time, however; the raid will be an hour earlier under "Standard Time" than current "Daylight Time".
  • It says both atm. Will the local time edited to be correct for local time? Or will I have to take into account the lack of a change in guild planning? Our raids will stay at the same local time as that’s what we use. Not utc.

I answered it already. Your time isn't actually chaning. You are going from pdt to PST for example. That doesn't change utc time. See example of arena payout times and bonus energy times.

The question is still relevant. My thing right now says 12am utc (7pm local). When the time changes 12am utc is now 6pm local. So they are asking will that popup correctly say 12am utc (6pm local). Or will the popups text fail to adjust and still say 12am utc(7pm local). The arena times don't specifically say payout is 6pm local, they have actual timers on them, so it will be confusing if the text says it would launch at 7pm local when in fact it will be launching at 6pm.
  • No the timer in the officer controls should adjust the one hour.
  • You have to manual change it. I had to when New Zealand Daylight saving kicked in about a month ago.
  • the local time label for raid auto launch is tied to your device so it should change when your device time changes. I know this because I went in with a Emulator set to wrong local time for me and all the local times for raid auto launch confused me till I figured out what I did. go test it out. manually set you device time back an hour then reload the game and look.

So if you want to keep auto launch at the same UTC time no change needed.
if you want to keep auto launch at the same local time then you will need to change it after dst ends

Two different things. You didn’t actually answer it.
