Guild members raiding early

Tank is free for all from the get go, the 24 hour 0 damage rule only applies to level 80+ for heroic rancor in my guild. We only have one or 2 people below 80 so it works perfect.

If communication is a problem first you need a concerted effort to improve that. Require they get in discord or Line, use guild leader messages, etc. If after a few days someone is still out, boot. Then you can communicate a lot better to those who may not know.

As for recruiting, the in-game mechanism to join is useful, and follow the same strategy as above if you find someone who wants to join and you let them in. Try to get them in discord. If after a couple days they dont, boot. We've found at least 5-6 good members through the in-game joining interface. It's actually been much more reliable than posting on the forums.

We give 24 hours to post in chat and several posts in that period asking that person. No chat message from the offender they get the boot

Gives everyone a chance to get rewards.

If your guild can do the raid quickly, and you don't have this rule, you'd have to be there when it launches or you miss out on rewards completely. This way everyone at least gets some gear/shards/currency.

We warned people and placed restrictions on their ability to participate in future raids, such as zero score only, or no score at all for the next one or two raids. The latter was only came into effect if some drongo solo'd the Pit before the agreed hit time.

Three transgressions resulted in demotion to a lesser guild.

But you need to publish an ongoing warning list and use a third-party chat provider like Line or Discord so people know where they stand. In-game messaging is completely and woefully inadequate for that purpose. It would be a nice QOL feature to enable officers to create a 'Rogue Actions' marker for raids.

Boot unless its a legit accident (Magma Trooper). Its an easy rule to follow.

We do have discord but only a few use it.

Anyway the main offender got warned tonight, it kicked off a bit but he is now clear as to the rules and says he will stick to them.

Another 3 raided early with very low scores, we are getting there slowly.

The very real issue is that if you don't stop these "little hits," then others follow suit with their own "little hits," and before you know it the raid becomes a free-for-all with no cooperation. Even good, well-behaved guild members will join in because they don't want to be left out of the raid. Consequences need to be clearly defined and rapidly enforced until everybody is on board. The rules are there for the benefit of everyone. You need to wear heavy boots for this job. Glad I am not an officer anymore for this reason.

The good news is that once the guild understands how to follow the rules, it gets way easier. Then the occasional infraction can just be brushed away.

That's what I keep posting on chat, to benefit everyone, no lone rangers.

The thing is we ask about preferred times to start raid and none of the early hitters speak up so we keep it the same.

Anyway thanks for the advice, seems we just have to be tough until we get where we want.
