As exciting as I find the opportunity to work on some of the hard node exclusive characters, like Shoretrooper and DN. Im left wondering why we have received this increase and for a limited time only?An increase in hard node refreshes has nothing to do with the current CLS event, if it did they would have just focused on the relevant nodes. So it leads me to believe that the devs are giving us a chance to farm hard node exclusive characters for an upcoming event, probably for territory battles. The available hard node exclusives are, please correct me if I have left anything off:Clone Sargent – Phase 1General VeersEwok ScoutFirst Order StormtrooperFirst Order Tie PilotLobotURoRRuR’R’RShoretrooperDarth NihilisHoth Rebel SoldierDirector KrennicLooking at that list I can really only find 3 characters that might be relevant moving forward with Luke's story or with territory battles on Hoth. I think Hoth Rebel Soldier is the obvious choise, and then maybe Lobot and Ewok Scout for a later ROTJ Luke event possibly???Or do you think this is to help us get ready for The Last Jedi later this year, in which case the First Order options might be better to farm??I dont know what to think, what are your thoughts on the hard node increase and who will you be farming?? I know Im currently working on Shoretrooper and DN but I think Hoth Soldier might need to be swapped in.

Or maybe it's because there's constant complaining about how excessively long single hard node farms are, especially for characters that aren't even very powerful....

To answer your question, I think it's partially to help farm Farmboy Luke, but mostly unrelated: it's their way to find out if more hard node chances would increase energy refreshes. Just like they recently added a third 100-crystal refresh for cantina node energy, supposedly for a limited time, but it has stuck around because it likely increased their overall crystal churn rate. I think this is a similar trial. They say it's for a limited time so they can retract it if they decide it's working against their revenue stream. But if it actually increases revenue, they will leave it in place.For your second question, it depends on your personal goals. If you are in a strong guild and Territory Battles is being planned for, I would go with Veers and Hoth Rebel Soldier. TB is imminent and I believe it's pretty clear that those particular characters will have bonuses.If Territory Battles isn't your thing or you already have those toons, I would go for FO and Resistance farming at this point. You have plenty of time to fill out those teams to be prepared for new toons, events, etc that will be coming along with Episode VIII. FO is a really fun team, and Resistance can tear through HAAT and GW like nothing else. I feel pretty confident we won't be seeing a ROTJ-Luke type event until well after The Last Jedi washes through, so I wouldn't be pre-farming for that just yet.And then of course, other toons on the list have their own place. If you need a boost in arena, Darth Nihilus fits on most any team, and with Gear 12 coming, getting him to 7-star is a priority if you rely on arena strength. Clone Sergeant is a critical piece of the Princess Zody HAAT team if you need a boost in raids.So uh, I'm guessing that didnt' help much. But enjoy the grind!

@skywhopper I can definately see that they may just be trying to up the crystal churn in hopes of making more money like with the cantina refreshes. But I feel like that cantina refresh increase has made it possible for more people to unlock character like CLS and Thrawn, who would have otherwise been unattainable with the time before the events.You've got to love the grind, this increase is just forcing me to be even more focused and as a result I want to be careful where I place my focus.

hard node attempt increase is awesome. Single hardnode only characters still suck to farm, but it's a bit better, specially if you're willing to refresh a hard node.

Hard Nodes increased to 5 refreshes!!! but why???

They have effectively decreased the price of these shards from 50 crystals to 30 each. Cheaper than buying from shipments now. Certainly makes it a more attractive refresh option

Chance to have shards increase, but also ur energy draining off fast. If u do 20 energy node u need 100 energy, technically it's 1x refill.

Increase attempt is good, but it's not helping. It would be really help if the drop rate increase also. 15 node for fost, 2x refill i get 1 shard. Yesterday 10 node for fotfp, 1x refill+bonus energy none shard.

I think we all know the purpose is hshsgsysvvdncjfysgwy$$$hdhdhf

I'm really liking the increase in attempts. Getting 1/5 for Nihilus instead of 1/3 for the day is great for my mental state.

If they increase the free energy on resets to 60 then this would be perfect. It really should scale with level since our energy bars are larger than a level 60 player.

Veers is also a hard node farm who will probably be important on Hoth
