Help buying packs

Hi, all :)

It's first time I'm thinking on buying packs. I'm thinking on new sith packs or even citadel one. Never did it before, and I don't understand how this works. It says "Each pack guarantees at least 5 shards, with a chance to get 30 shards!"

What does this means? It's a chance... but 1/100, 1/1000, 1/746573874. Can I find this info in any place, like terms and conditions or something?

I just want to know what I'm buying, it's a lot of money and I want to be sure what I'm doing.

Thank you so much for your help.
  • The citadel pack in particular has had bad reviews. As for the others, I'll just tell you my pulls and you can make your own assessment.

I picked up four packs (two Nihilus, and two Sith Assassin) and I was 1 for 4 on Omega materials and all four packs returned the minimum five shards.
  • My 2 buddies pulled enough packs to 7 star Nihilus. One friend pulled 52 packs, for a 7 star nihilus (0 pulls of the 30 shards in 52 packs). My other friend pulled 47 packs with 1 pull of the 30 shards Nihilus. It's about 400-500 dollars for a 7 star Nihilus. The percent chance to get the 30 shards with a sample size of 99 Packs and only getting 1 pull of the 30 Nihilus shards comes out to a 1.010204081632653% chance to pull 30 Nihilus Shards.

    Rip
  • 400-500???? That's insane. I got b2 plus 95 shards for RG and 60 shards for sun fac for less than half that in B2's aurodium. These packs are getting more and more ridiculous. They double the price, and give you less.

I'm still not sure. You're calculating 1/100 'cause you know about 2 people. But add to your 2 people my 3 people that is telling me that didn't got any drop of 30 shards... that's growing. There has to be a place where is indicated in which range of probabilities are we moving when they say "there is a chance".

    400-500$ it's really insane :/
