How do you decide who comes in 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the Rancor Raid (when most can solo it)?

Autoing the raid is massively unfair to the rest of the guild. I'm surprised they put up with that. It doesn't allow the raid to last very long if you auto it and end it prematurely. Anyone not on right when it starts doesn't get in. Pretty selfish.
