How do you waste your free gems?

I roll around in them and let the sharp parts of the crystal pierce my skin.

It's the only way I can feel anything anymore.

Since has a purpose it isn't careless and it certainly isn't extravagant; saving gems for gear or energy refreshes.

Playing the same node over and over with about a 2% drop rate definitely qualifies as the word waste.

Energy refreshes. 1 cantina (two on days when cantina is the daily activity), 1 hard battle (two when the leftover crystals sum up). Always keeping around 1200 crystals as contingency reserves (in case another event requiring refreshes comes along, like the K-2SO one), the rest is spent on refreshes daily.

And guess I'm one of the lucky ones with good drop rates from the battles :)

Thank you to all of those with non patronizing answers. It looks like refreshes are what most people do and what makes the most sense.
