Yeah, CG is ignoring bugs on purpose.
But look how fast they rework a toon (-> Hux) when he's able to counter their money maker. Anyone remember Malak snafu?
No "new" content, but players still invest money in this game. They work less, you pay more (-> Galactic Legends)
No you're missing the point. Bobcat is not claiming they ignore bugs on purpose, but that they actually make the bugs on purpose, which somehow makes them money. And I have to prove they don't.
What a day.
I'm not sure I claimed they intentionally make the bugs on purpose... that's giving them way too much credit. But i feel like they do intentionally ignore the bugs. I stated my experiance which coincidentally was frequently week 3. Maybe there is a bug in week 3? Maybe its chance... I dont have enough data to determine why this was since I cant see what happens to eveeyone else and I'm not a dev.
Isnt the forum is a place to express what has transpired, not just make one word comments idk...
What I'm really implying is they set the bar for kyber at a level that requires very close to 100% success. I assume they know how their game works so they know it will crash intermittently and cause stopped progress (failure to make kyber). This added difficulty is working as intended because it limits a players progression and gives us a feeling of well I would have made it if not for that crash. Did they intend to do this I beleive yes 100%$%.
Then if players try to get compensation for the crash they have to argue with customer service for like 30 min until they realize customer service never played the game and has no idea what your talking about. Getting 125 credits for a crashed GA battle is pretty insulting thats why I dont bother calling anymore.
Even if I level up my teams I'm fighting vs technology and programming to make kyber more than the enemy teams that I can easily beat. That's been my GA experiance... others without a lot of relics and g12 may think they need better teams and they probally do but even then having the teams is half the battle.
Also I have the kyber title from making kyber so I've done it before several times.
im not just complaining for the sake of it. I should have done it much more and when I failed to make kyber it was because game crashing not my team dying.- They dont benefit directly from people having a bad experiance in GAC but when the next shiny thing comes out they do benefit from people being further away from unlocking it which is the result of less people getting kyber rewards.
It's an indirect benefit from ignoring the bug and intentionally making the kyber bar rng dependent on if just 1 or 2 of your battles crash you will miss it...
Some people dont see the big picture so if you dont understand I understand. - NotRealUltra5 years agoLegendI thought bobcat was initially making a joke but its another one of those far out theories that is silly
Your experience is very anecdotal (seriously), and nobody has GAC crashes as much as you do, so saying that the whole game crash experience is designed when you are close to Kyber to frustrate you is nonsensical. A lot of players have made it to Kyber, its not like they fought against 6 crashes and then got into it
Time for my anecdote, I've had zero game crashes in GAC since it was Grand Arena, and I've failed to make Kyber, I've been super close to Kyber, and I made Kyber with zero crashes each time. My opponents who were close to Kyber league, that beat me with one shots made it to Kyber (last week of GAC, you can check how close your opponents are to Kyber, which I've done a few times)
I've seen GAC streams of YouTubers with zero crashes
Looking at your thread history you seem to suffer from game crashes a couple of times, I recall that you had one of those super old devices that run a version of Android that got discontinued during a Title Update. I'm more inclined to believe your device is either old (not enough RAM etc) or internet issues (not a stable internet connection, cellular) than Capital Games implementing a crash bug for a small subset of players
Case-In-Point: https://forums.galaxy-of-heroes.starwars.ea.com/discussion/220695/cant-install-update#latest
I'm sure CG made a download bug just to frustrate players to spend more. This is just one thread but I see a few more where everyone keeps telling you that its just you having game crashes
No developer intentionally releases bugged content, or makes the game experience unplayable for consumers because it loses them money, and it wastes their effort and hardwork, and its frankly insulting
To be blunt, this entire hypothesis is grounded on nonsense. I would suggest the following fixes:
1. Get a new device (or use a tablet or computer or another device than your current go-to for GAC)
2. Upgrading your home internet plan
3. Upgrading your cellular network plan
4. Play GAC on another, more reliable wifi network "Ultra;c-2081091" wrote:

I agree with all 4, but would add in 5:
CG does what they should have a long time ago and fixes the issue and it is certainly their issue before it is the user's issue.
This happens on <1yo devices on stable connections."BobcatSkywalker;c-2081085" wrote:

When ships are included it's much easier to reach kyber league. You can reach it quite easily even with 3 losses (75% win rate).
You're missing the fact that whenever a player loses a round because of a bug another player wins the round because of the same bug. The only progress lost is a few points for the battle itself. The 1600 points for the win is still rewarded - only to a different player. I don't see how CG would use this in any way to increase spending. If one player would spend more (according to your theory), wouldn't the other player spend less?"Alfa_Landwalker;c-2080622" wrote:
Well, better than my issue
Game freezes, a weird sound occur on my phone
https://youtu.be/B4zSu0reYio
I am also getting this noise several times s day and frequent button freezes, where touching the screen does nothing.- I don’t believe that this is something intentionally built into the game. That’s a bit far fetched imo.
But I get it. Despite what some are claiming, this DOES happen. I’ve had these crashes a few times myself, on a newer device and connected to a strong internet connection. And when it happens, it’s EXTREMELY frustrating. This is a competitive game and a lot of players take that fairly seriously. It can be gosh-darned annoying when something like this is what makes a difference in your overall outcome.
And I’m sure that it’s this level of frustration that leads to people lashing out like this and making accusations that it’s “on purpose”.
That, and the fact that this game does have a history of ignoring a lot of pretty significant bugs for a long time. There are still tons of things that we have all just accepted and “learned to live” with which should have been fixed long before now. "BobcatSkywalker;c-2081086" wrote:

Some people dont see the big picture so if you dont understand I understand.
CG intentionally doesn't fix frustrating bug crashes so people won't make kyber so that later those people will spend money bc they left rewards on the table. And also so people will spend a long time with support in order to try and get their duly-owed rewards, thus making them more frustrated. And if you don't get that you just don't see the big picture.

I even pointed out a case where it happened to me once."TVF;c-2081155" wrote:

When your closer to kyber this seems to increase. I think It's meant to make it more challenging...
Stop spreading stuff like this, it's not helpful.
Proof it's not true.
Do you have data?
This has happened to me three times when I was aurodium league in week 3 of GA. Not week 1 or 2... but in week 3 and 4 of the challenge when I was about to make kyber.
Maybe you think it's not true because you own CG stock but dont tell me what to post.
Oh by the way what week of GA is it? Week 3. Funny I get lectured about helpfulness of my comment from the guy with 632,372,911 forum posts who's only here to have more posts than anyone else not actually contribute to anything.
Never happened to me on either one of my accounts.
Not every post is in reference to you.
