Slide sidebar - how often to you farm mods vs slice mats? Seems like I have way more mods than mats and I never have enough to slice with. Is there a general good strategy?
*I typically only slice with starting high speeds unless its something very specific (tenacity on Malak or something). I wont slice unless I at least roll speed twice with credits. Starting to think I'm managing this incorrectly.
Depends what resources I have available.
If I have 20+ Pulse Modulators I'll farm the mats for 6e slicing.
If I have a bunch of greens and greys waiting to be sliced I'll farm the mats to work through them.
If I have a specific toon I'm looking to upgrade I'll farm whatever I need to slice potential candidates from my inventory.
Otherwise I'll farm mods.
I don't rule out greens with only one speed hit (and greys of course can only have one) but I do require speed unless I have a specific use in mind for a 0 speed mod. And I require 2 speed hits by blue or the mod gets sold, with very few exceptions.- TwstdByDsn4 years agoSeasoned Ace521.6mil

I know I can buy and level Mods for Credits. Slicing involves non-credit resources, unfortunately. - irish570team4 years agoSeasoned AceI’m just guessing but it’s probably around 20 million for each really good mod I get after leveling it up. Usually the speed just doesn’t perk but every so often you get a 15+ speed that is good enough to replace some garbage mods.

- nothingfac9474 years agoRising NoviceI have about 5m and am trying to build up to 20. I do 3 mod refreshes daily and am trying to slice more simply because I don't have enough credits to farm. I only level grey to 6 or 9 if they have matching secondaries unless it rolls 5 speed. Only 5 speed greys get sliced to green and anything below 10 speed gets sold with few exceptions. I only remod once every few months to save credits and don't remod for raids.I never have enough credits to buy from the store
This isn't a flex but I could easily spend 3 times the current credit income. I have no idea how you guys save so much.

Got nothing to spend em on really - genghisx4 years agoSeasoned Hotshot9 month old account and I'm sitting around 3M but I have unpromoted characters. I have about 20M in fleet credits and no unpromoted ships but only my Malevolence and Negotiator fleets are leveled.
Not sure if shard acceleration hurt the early-game economy but IIRC my other account took about 18 months to get to the point where all characters were promoted and it was sitting on ~150M to use for leveling as needed. Was never huge on buying mods, though and that's obviously a huge drain on credits. - genghisx4 years agoSeasoned Hotshot

Stuff's expensive. It costs 6.2M credits to level a character to 85 and that's not counting gear upgrade costs. Also stats scale exponentially at higher gear levels (e.g. General Grievous has 8761 HP at Gear level 1, 11551 at Gear level 10, 13657 at 11, 19157 at 12, and 58863 at 13) so there's not a huge benefit to taking random characters/teams to level 85 G7 or so if I'm not ready to work on them / need them for a Journey Guide requirement.
