How to level the playing field between LS and DS

IPD brings something new and unique to the table. However, with the current DS TB cadence it will take months before it will be in common rosters.

I intentionally left out the TB toons. Some guilds already have them, but most probably don't.

IPD kit is awesome. Full opposing team buff removal, target lock and his zeta are awesome but target lock is still cleansable (is that a word) afaik. So it's good, not great.

Wampa does serious damage and is very tanky, but pure DPS isn't the DS weak point, and while he is technically a DS toon, he is not in a faction (which was a smart decision as he would be a game breaker if he was) so he is more a stand alone toon, who happens to have a DS tag (until/unless they release a toon who gives all DS a boost, he may as well be LS).

It's not about fanboy/fangirl. There are at least two parts of the game that require DS - the DS battles and DS TB.

They will be adding new stages to the battles and the cantina soon (running out of places to put character shards on hard to farm nodes). And DS TB is much harder than LS because there aren't enough toons to fill out the platoons and actually win the battles, by the end no platoons have been filled so battling the enemy at full bore.

As mentioned above, it is also about variety and the fact that in my arena shard at least, there are five total teams in the top 50 that don't use LS leads (2 KRU, 2 Talzin and 1 Boba). Would be nice to see something else show up and give me something else to work towards. My RJT, CLS, R2, BB8, Scavenger team is great, but wouldn't mind getting some help for DS TB.
