HPIT-FOE Interaction

Hey. Quick question here. I just did a raid on HPIT with FOX, KRU, and FOE. I cleared the first wave pretty easily, just ramping up massive damage(50K+ per hit). I got into the phase 2, and it seemed like all the extra health(extra damage) disappeared. Does it get cleared between waves, or was I just underestimating how much health rancor had versus guard captain?

    It says “end of the encounter” in the description of his unique. It would need to say “end of the battle” for the extra damage to carry between waves.
