@Nikoms565 so stop paying if you are not happy. That is it. Players threatened to stop playing when mods were released, and we know what happened. The Resistance for what is worth gave us a schedule for marquée toons. Just make a post for stating your disatisfaction and find a lot of other players like and do your thing.

It is like saying that gating CLS by ANH toons was a bad thing. Devs are a company and you still can enjoy the game without TB.

First off, I did stop paying. I haven't put any more money into the game since 2016. Second, I did make a post stating my dissatisfaction - to which you responded (rather trollingly) "just quit".

Your comparison to "gating" CLS with ANH toons is completely off-base. There is a huge difference between the two. To get CLS you needed:

1) STHan - available from Squad Store. A very useful tank (especially pre-pretaunters) Also a Rebel + Scoundrel making him useful for both Palpatine and Credit Heist.
2) Leia - available in the Squad Store. A very strong attacker - so strong in fact, that at the very beginning of the game, she was p2p only.
3) Old Ben - a Cantina node farm. A Jedi useful in obtaining Yoda. Part of the "Dodge meta" - and arguably one of the two "must haves" from that era.
4) R2D2 - one of the best utility units in the game. His presence in so many arena teams of all levels and makeups makes his usefullness clear.
5) Farmboy Luke - fairly weak - but needed for Luke flash events and an easy farm, with cantina and a hard node and free shards given. Also an automatic unlock for new players.

Now compare the usefulness and farmability of those to Hoth Rebel Solidier:

Available in a single hard node. A weak Rebel support unit who taunts - except there are 6 Rebels who taunt who are better in every respect (STHan, Baze, SRP, Chopper, K2SO and Old Ben). He also has the lowest health of the other 6 taunters...but he makes up for it by being the slowest, save for Baze...who auto-taunts. In summary - if you were to rate the 30 Rebels, HRSoldier would not come in in the top 25. He is useless - and hard to farm.

That's a world of difference. And experienced players who realize that difference are, in a sense being "punished" for either not having him, or not being bored enough to have him "by accident".

You need HRS at 5* that is around 3 months of farming if you are unlucky with the hard node and Bronzium. You don't need to gear him.

And I will tell you something: HRS is more useful than any other ANH toon for now, because he is the only way to get ROLO. Same thing with Phoenix and Thrawn.

As for your analysis of ANH toons, STH is useless compared to GK and FBL as well. (I love that being said but STH, but they missed his rework).

About the information about HRS: there were enough leaks to incentivize to farm him. You did a mistake, no one else, so don't blame the others! I totally refused to panick farm Phoenix for Thrawn, my arena was more difficult (I had to remod my team), but that is!

I will restate my advice by not trolling: quit this game if you are unhappy, there is no advantage of continuing playing when you feel restèrent against human beings who make their best to offer a good game. Otherwise just pay for G12 or HRS and let it go!

Once again, you have completely missed the point. My HRSolider is already at 4* and will be 5 in the next few weeks. That doesn't make using him as the gate any less silly. Your point about him being needed to unlock ROLO is exactly the reason it is silly - he isn't useful....CG just made him useful by making him the gate.

Comparing STHan to GK...I can't help you if you think that comparing someone easily farmable to a HAAT-only character is a fair comparison.

I realize CG is in the business to make money. There are ways to make it without creating artificial gating by requiring useless, hard to farm characters. My issue is based not on whether or not I have him or will have him (as stated, mine is already at 4* soon to be 5) - it's based on a lazy design choice that I think is silly. At best, it feels like the easy way out - rather than designing content that is a challenge for people that already 20+ 7* Rebels at high gear, they simply require one that no one can easily farm - and one that no intelligent player should waste the time/energy on. At worst, it's a money grab to sell packs.

Naively, I like to think that some of my feedback is taken into account. Sadly, I think most of it falls on deaf ears. Especially when others who are also "lucky" enough to have accidentally farmed the "right" hero, defend the practice.
