I unlock new characters but have nowhere to use them.

I know other people have said this, but the game really needs some kind of mode to just play with characters with unlimited attempts. An actual sandbox mode would be great, but even just the old Gala...

I don't get the people who didn't think GCs were fun. Some of the modifiers were mildly annoying, but they were manageable.

Right. There were some GC modifiers that were absolute BS (the deathmark and the reflecting damage come to mind). But most of the time, they were a fun puzzle that I enjoyed trying to crack. And some of the modifiers were mild enough that I could sort of play around with different teams for fun.

Era challenges are nothing more than a mindless wallet check.
