A minor issue in the grand scheme of things but it seems.that the best rank.achieved field in your profile only updates if you are in the same division or higher.What that means is that anyone who just got bumped from division in the recent reshuffle will not see that value change until / unless they get back to division 1 which could be a long time.I got bumped from division 1 to division 4 and finished at rank 37.But my profile continues to show my best finish as division 1 rank 103.I'm still a scrubling. :'(

I was Div1 Kyber 378. Now I finished Div4 Kyber 20. Which number has a stronger impact to the history of mankind? I don't know. When it comes to scouting, you might lose information on how your opponent performed in the new GAC division so far. But knowing someone had a three-digit Div1 Kyber ranking would still tell a lot about what I'm potentially facing against.

Ah yes, someone who consistently makes it to kyber is a scrub.

Managed to get #2 (dang you Forsu Aero) in div1 at the first 3v3 season but the best rank profile thing was buggy back then anyway so it never displayed it. Got #6 in div1 a few seasons ago and profile got updated to that. Now I got #2 again in div2 but it still displays the div1 #6.It can be tricky to determine on what is the "better" rank overall, f.e. if someone managed to get #1 and the champion title in div6 way back then and now got lets say #2 in div2 - getting that #1 in div6 surely was an effort but lower divisions are easier than the higher ones so that #2 in div2 is imo more impressive but if the division difference is only 1 division it's hard to make a verdict.

I'm still a GAC scrub (side effect of division changes)

But as I said, not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, though it does render the field kind of meaningless.

It was a useful marker for the quality of an opponent. Not the only one by any means but now it will just grow increasingly stale and irrelevant for anyone who was moved down from division 1.

Honestly,I'm not sure if this is true. When div1 was bloated, I got regularly matched up with a much broader GP range of opponents, often with over a million GP difference. Since I have a quite focused roster, it was no problem beating those.

But after moving to Div4 since last season, with close to 6mio GP being on the high end of the bracket, I seemly got matched with opponents, who all have a focused roster and usually same number of GLs like me if not more. So it's tougher now as I can perceive or at least definitely not easier.
