Is my Dengar broken?

So I just got Dengar to 7* today and tried him out in raid for the first time. He sticks Tenacity down no problem, however after that my resist rate from Teebo, Rex and QGJ goes UP not down as expected.

Am I doing something wrong? My potency on all my TMR guys is pretty high and i know there is always a chance to resist but usually teebo hits at over 75% without tenacity down and he's hitting closer to 50% with it; QGJ when he procs (99% potency) usually hits 70% and he's less than 50% now and Rex with the omega on basic usually hits 85% and he's around 50-60%.

This is on the captain guard; does it work better on the Rancor?

  • I'm seeing exactly opposite of what OP is. With tenacity down applied I barely ever see resists. What I do see, is the Teebo stealth bug sticking it's ugly head out a lot more, and Dengar's slow is very unreliable...

Now I see one of two things happening... Either OP had really bad rng, which could be considering this was his first and only attempt in raid with Dengar, or, they screwed something up with this in the patch that fixed the other bugs with his tenacity down.

I got 3.2 million in my raid yesterday with Teebo 68% potency, QGJ 80% potency, EE, GS, Dengar... So I'll say right now it was working fine yesterday at 10am est.

@RonEmpire IDK... it just seems odd; if tenacity down should leave us with a 15% chance to resist, then resists should be pretty rare

Well if it works anything like "15% dodge", it will most likely translate into 80% resist.

I took my Teebo from 76.5% potency to 71% and he got resisted probably 50% more. Now this was one raid so that's hardly a good test pool however I have never seen that bad of a resist rate in my last 10 raids and those I've had Teebo at 76.5% so I definitely feel like there's something to the OP's post. Also, to add the Teebo bug is still very much alive and kicking and SUPER frustrating.
  • Then maybe it's something today that they did... Because since I've finished Dengar I haven't had single issue with resists at all, in fact that I've nearly solo'd p1 without slow ever proc'ing, which means Teebo and QGJ were definitely doing there thing like crazy.

You've answered you're own question. Far too small a sample size to make any conclusions. RNG can always run bad in short tests.
  • Nothing sadder than a guy with a broken Dengar. Try the potency mods.

I'll be here all week. ;)
  • Something i've noticed running him in arena with phasma, i'm starting to think that the chance to apply detrimental affects with M³ isn't related to potency. I have Dengar and Phasma pretty well in-sync so Phasma always goes first and gives him Advantage, and whenever I use M³ after that, they always seem to get all 3 affects (except Rey who's usually hiding behind foresight), that's one of the reasons i paired him with Phasma.
  • Well I finally did manage to clear P3 with Dengar... very odd though; sometimes I get like a 50-60% resist rate and other times it was more in line with the 15% expected. A ton of variance... thanks for those that helped me out in DM's to figure out the right mods / composition, much appreciated!
