The stats it displays when you upgrade your gear level are the stats on the pieces of gear that are vanishing. They are already added, they are just being assigned to the character now instead of the gear. At least that's what I have interpreted that to mean since those stats don't change.

This is what my turbo looks like. OK for phase 1 of rancor but unreliable for the rancor phases.

Tebow is still good.
He is my top guy..

I've got him g10(1 strength slot away from g11) and he just helped me get 3.8mil against Heroic Rancor. For that alone, he is extremely valuable.
