- Read HTs kit
- Not a bug. Hound's Tooth regains taunt for 1 turn if an enemy is breached. In that vid your Biggs has breach. So Ahsoka reinforces, the taunt is dispelled thanks to her reinforcement ability and then automatically reapplied due to Hound's Tooth unique ability.
- kyrnreeve3 years agoRising RookieIt's not a bug, it's part of Hounds Tooths kit. You can look it up under Bossks crew ability.
The taunt reapplys itself, if one of your ship has breach.
So, like we can see in your first example Biggs has breach on his ship. That means you can't dispel Bossks Taunt.
In your second example you used the dispel against Boba, so you could dispel the taunt. - I see. Thanks for the explanation.
That is very useful.

Until now, i still dont have a fool proof strategy to defeat Hound's Tooth.
Sometimes i win, sometime i lose...it is like 40% win and 60% lose (using rebel fleet with Darth Vader's ship and Slave 1).
Any1 has a fool proof suggestion on how to defeat HT?
I tried Imperial TIE Fighter's "T-s8 targeting computer" which says that it places "buff immunity" if the target is "target locked". But most of the time, it doesnt place such debuff eventhough the target is "target locked".
Any more idea, based on my current ships?
Which ship should i upgrade/unlock?
Thanks. - MasterSeedy3 years agoSeasoned AceWedge's ship will apply buff immunity when it reinforces. That doesn't remove taunt, but it can still help as other ships (like slave 1) have the possibility of removing taunt, which will then stay gone if it's done while Buff Immunity is applied.
However HT also cleanses itself of all debuffs whenever it uses its basic, so once you bring in Wedge you have to dispel right away or it's useless.
Still, it's better than nothing, and Wedge is easy to get. - M0st1yHarm1ess3 years agoSeasoned AceLevel up Chimera and your own HT. With HT tanking you'll be able to hang in there long enough until Chimera can insta-kill HT.
- MasterSeedy3 years agoSeasoned AceActually that's an even better idea, @PeachyPeachSWGOH . Although I think GeGe doesn't have HT. GeGe is VERY early in the process and it's hard to get Bossk & HT that early.
Still, it doesn't hurt to remind them that HT is the best ship Tank in the game and that going hard for it is a good idea. - In addition to what others suggested, Anakin can also help with his buff immunity.

Thanks for the advice.
Actually, I have Wedge's ship at 7* and fully upgraded reinforce-ability.
Somehow, i can't make it work.
The timing has to be perfect!
1) HT's tons of conjured protections has to be dispell 1st <<< Using Darth Vader.
2) summon Wedge. HT gets debuffed with "buff immunity" and can't conjure anymore protection for 2 rounds.
3) kill the HT.
The problem is...eventhough this is an turn based game, it lack some of it's features.
Like, i can't choose to skip a round to conserve my turn meter.
So...often, between Darth Vader, Wedge and Home One, one of them is nor ready to do those 1-2-3 above."PeachyPeachSWGOH;c-2403423" wrote:

This is my plan too. But my Chimera still needs a loooong time to upgrade (tons of ship building materials are needed). Currently upgrading Bossk (3*) and HT (2*).
I was looking for a possible quicker way......haha."Lumiya;c-2403438" wrote:

Thanks Lumiya. I haven't tried this idea. Because my Anakin (pilot and ship) are not developped that good. And i am now farming Bossk and HT. With the little daily energies that i have, i can't upgrade them both at the same time...
So, between Anakin and HT...i am prioritizing HT atm.

Thanks all for the advices.
For now, i take the "HT and Chimera" idea...unless there is a better, quicker to implement idea.- KDC99-X3 years agoSeasoned AceWhen you eventually get Han’s MF, it will dispel on basic under a Rebel capital ship as well. Rebel y-wing can also inflict shield disruption, which is anathema for HT.
Also, if you have enough firepower, you can just overpower HT’s 10% bonus prot. Han’s MF puts out a ton of damage as well as dispelling, and if you get a big mass assist on HT timed out with your Rebel fleet, it’s lights out for HT/pretty much anyone else. As mentioned, JKA has buff immunity (and healing immunity), and also smacks hard enough once suitably upgraded, to eat through HT with a few turns, which JKA readily gets as he gains TM as allies take damage. TIE x1 can also do this with suitably upgraded/relic Vader, TIE Fighter can also put up a big hit (especially when buffed with offense/defense penetration), and the newly released TIE Defender can SLAP even at 4-5* with g11 Iden. Like 2-3 shot a HT even without eliminating the bonus prot via cleansing/debuff (note that this is in a Chimaera full Empire lineup, I haven’t tested Defender in other lines ups). Of course, some combo of clearing the bonus prot with buff immunity/healing immunity/shield disruption/defense down/breached always helps.
A bit of advice - almost never hit HT when you’re not forced to, and try to only hit HT when you’re ready to take him out. That’ll avoid putting too many BP stacks on HT while you set up your big hit(s). Try to manage breached on your end so you can get around HT’s taunt when you need to. Use basics more, and save your specials for the right moments (something I learned from watching a lot of high-end streamers play).
On that note, probably the best fleet guides anywhere are BitDynasty’s videos on YouTube. He has in-depth guides on how to use every fleet, as well in-depth counter guides against every fleet. Very informative stuff.
But as you pointed out, a lot of these counters will take time to develop, and you have to prioritize limited resources. There really isn’t a “quick” way because ships take FOREVER (seriously why are NO ships accelerated yet??!?). And you have to work out the right timing with reinforcements/abilities with each comp — that’s not a lack of game features, you just don’t know the game and ship kits/interactions that well yet. You’ll figure out ways to beat HT as you develop your roster. We’ve all been there. We all did.
