I think they didn't make as much $ on jango as they thought they would, so they pushed up this revan event to try to make more off of it.

Revan is in no way a "cash grab" as people keep saying. Have you not seen all the posts about people that would have spent to get the unlock this time, but won't spend because they can't make 7*? By putting the unlock at 7* CG is effectively cutting off a large portion of potential revenue. Not everything CG does is purely for money.

Revan is very difficult to obtain. You either had to whale out and 7* the OR folks right away, or you had to plan and hoard for months to be ready, and even then you probably have to spend some money.
