That right there is why they should have never met. Disney can't get any thing right but people will make excuses for them.
i swear if disney made OT people would start harping on that quote, saying in episode 3 obi-wan left vader not the other way around, and the episode 4 is ruined
There are 3 more episodes, they will meet each other again, its not the end of the series
How can Vader go back to being the learner?

People like you just enjoy complaining about everything . First you complain about kenobi being weak and now your going to complain when he redeems himself at the end of the show. If your going to take that quote so seriously, why did you bother watch these episodes in the first place?. Stop watching if your going to whine about everything. - goavs5064 years agoNew Spectator

There was no need to make Obi-Wan weak and forget how to do anything in ten years. He is 48 years old not 68. He was a Jedi for 26 years and was one of the best ever.
Hes a broken man
Hes been hiding cut off from the force for 10 years.
Hes scared and in shock that anakin is alive and B... that hes ruthlessly killing villagers for no reason other than to toy with his emotions.
This is obi wan at his lowest point and being completely blind sided.
Keep in mind he wasnt having an easy time with the spice guys in that hallway either
But I thought "everyone" hated Luke when he did the same. Why the change of heart? Why would Obi-Wan change that much in ten years? Why would he of all people turn against the Force? Talk about not fitting a character. The guy watches his Master die in front of him, watches his girl Satine die, watches Padme die, watched Cody and his Clone troopers turn on him, but has a huge issue when his Padawan turns on him? He has a mission to watch over Luke and he wouldn't let his skills diminish and possibly get Luke killed. Plus he wanted to train Luke so why would he still not be training himself?
You did see the conflict he had right? Hes haunted by what happened. Hes scared. Hes clouded, aka cant talk to his late master.
He wants to train Luke, but hes in no condition to do it. Thats clear in his actions and his routine in episode 1 and his lack of skill in episode 2.
What were you expecting. I was surprised he light his saber honestly.
I was expecting someone like in the Kenobi book. A guy who still believes in himself and the cause and who is willing to still help others.
Rescuing Lea doesn’t qualify as helping others? His state of weakness is exaggerated a bit, but I don’t expect him to be the same guy after Revenge of the sith and not using a lightsaber for ten years. He will make a comeback - LordDirt4 years agoSeasoned Ace

He should have never met DV. You could still have this show without them facing off. Always have DV one step behind Ben as he is running throughout the galaxy. Have DV like a horror movie character, having a lot of suspense built around the scenes. Have Ben take out a few Inquisitors that aren't in Rebels and finish with him safe back on Tatooine watching over Luke and DV being frustrated at losing him and sending out more BH and Inquisitors. You could even have Reva be redeemed and die fighting DV as Ben escapes. - goavs5064 years agoNew Spectator

I don’t think that would satisfy many people and justify them making a kenobi show. Why would they make a Kenobi show with only minor villains? If you want a inquisitors show go watch rebels or request they make a live action show focusing on them. - LordDirt4 years agoSeasoned Ace

Why does a Kenobi show demand DV meet him? Comics and novels have done fine with out him. - goavs5064 years agoNew Spectator

And I don’t think having the occasional footage of Vader just hanging out from the sidelines on mustafar or a Star destroyer would do much for the show - LordDirt4 years agoSeasoned Ace

People loved the DV scene in Rogue One. You could have plenty of fight scenes with him taking on Rebels and even a redeemed Reva. - goavs5064 years agoNew Spectator

Those are a lot easier and cheaper to make then a live action tv show. If your going to bring back ewan make it a exciting show with a iconic villain. I’m open to other storylines, but I mostly disagreed with your take that they shouldn’t have brought Vader back just because of one quote in a movie from the seventies. - MasterSeedy4 years agoSeasoned Ace

Because it's named "Kenobi" and not "Vader"?
And because in his current state of being cut off from the Force, 3rd Sister could kick him from here to January with one lightsaber tied behind her back?
The real villain here is Kenobi himself: he's cut himself off from the force and needs to regain his relationship to it. With it, he can defeat Vader (as we've already seen). Without it, you don't need Vader b/c lots of enemies are more than a match for the run-down, near-powerless has-been that he is in his current state. - goavs5064 years agoNew Spectator

I just don’t see the point in having Vader in a kenobi show and then have them not meet at all. If Disney didn’t want them to meet, then don’t put Vader in at all
