Krayt Raid effect on guild moves

I believe it is more impactful as guilds can now only do one raid at a time.

My biggest problem actually ends up being the lockout periods. I figured it was to stop mercing, but it's now made recruiting kind of a mess for the players looking for a guild. Now if you want to move guilds, you have to miss up to a whole week of rewards.

Yeah, depending on when you join the new guild. If they have 47h left on their raid, then you miss that raid and the next raid, for a total of 5 days. Then it's another 3 befor eyou get rewards.

My guild hasn't lost a single player due to this raid (or RotE for that matter) - I guess that's a benefit of being a somewhat casual guild - we all kind of know what to expect of each other, and it's accepted across the board that we will rarely have 100% participation in every guild event. 80-90% engagement is much more common. We all know this slows our progress but we also don't spend a lot of time stressing out about missing events if something comes up IRL or if people just need to slow down for a while.

You misunderstood...i ws like #30 in the Rancor raid...now i am top #10, just with 1M damage.
My issue is exaclty that a lot of players suddenly became less effective...and that makes for a lot of guild movement...i personally prefer more stability, but i see i am not in the majority.
I am adaptaing...just seeing a lot more "stress" in discord, and pressure in game is not my idea of a calming relaxing moment after a days work :)

BTW...my "suggestion" would be to maintain some interest on the "usual" squads as a SECOND raid...then guilds could make choices...as it is, there is no choice, just "pressure" into the "mandatory" path...
(I see many choices in roster progression...i prefer it that way)

I don't think anyone likes that guilds experience some membership flux when new content is released but it's kind of the nature of the beast. Probably safe to say we all appreciate it when membership stabilizes. I just don't think it's a realistic expectation that it stay that way forever. It also kind of depends on the guild and the members and the GP spread for individuals across the guild. If you've got a wide range of GP in the guild, you're going to have players at different points in the game that have different goals.

As for the pressure you mentioned - that's how CG brings in money. If people don't feel a sense of urgency to get the new things, they are less likely to spend. For better or worse, the longevity and continued development of the game depends on keeping those revenue numbers up and this is how they do that. Love it or hate it, I wouldn't look for it to change. Personally, I'm fine with it - it keeps the game interesting and provides new goals and milestones for me. I don't normally get things day 1 - sometimes I do and that's always fun, but most of the time when new things come out, it's a preview of what I'll be working on in six to eight months.

I am 100% FTP. I always wait months...fine by me, and part of what keeps the game free to guys like me. I really understand.
MY POINT...in a single update they added a SINGLE NEW RAID with very different objectives and rendered ALL OTHER RAIDS useless (or almost useless).
I personally have no serious issue with this...but i think there were better ways to do it in order to avoid a big "quake" on the enviroment.

We’re having multiple people considering retirement because of krayt well last straw was krayt. My issue with the raid is it’s boring and is consistently running. While the rewards are good enough they don’t trigger the dopamine effect. We are now scoring 130 consistently. It’ll be a long time before we hit 265 so it just feels grindy. This, unfortunately, is just like every other aspect of the game at the moment. I don’t necessarily hate any mode and overall I still enjoy the game but no mode presently is looked forward to.

This happens every time a new raid comes to the game. People that want to be achieving at a higher level in the new raid will move to a guild that takes it more seriously, and people that refuse to work on raid teams end up getting cut from those guilds. I've actually noticed a lot less of that going on with this raid. I think a big reason for that is that it's really easy to sell people on the jabba farm. He's useful everywhere in the game, his requirements aren't prohibitive, and and the team is good at pretty much everything they try to do - he's a PVP rock star, he's got dedicated nodes in several TBs, he's strong in conquest, he's got his own smugglers run event with insanely good rewards, and he's an easy 1.2m-2.7m in Krayt depending on relic levels...

Anyone that's not farming Jabba (or already has him) either has a pretty young account, or is willfully knee-capping their roster. In either one of those scenarios, that person looks less appealing to a guild that's recruiting.

But yeah, this happens every time. Look for it again when the next raid comes out.

This raids effect is way different then all the ones before it. Sure guilds had to figure out ways to beat the previous raids but with this raid each person is responsible for getting in their damage and helping the guild to one big reward they all share. Many guilds are going to remove people who cant/wont keep up and build their rosters for this raid. Many players will leave their guild due to guild mate holding them back with low rewards. This is similar to TBs more than raids of the past.
