Sorry @Woodroward although you are trying to help you are incorrect. To simplify it for everyone Increasing by 10% is exponential as the distance between axis X (level) does not change but y does (xp).
If it was 100 xp to lvl 2 then it would be 110 XP to lvl 3. This is not a straight line going up by 100 each time it is instead compounding the number and causing eventual exponential growth. By lvl 85 the XP required with these simplified figures would be 329,896 which is well beyond just 100x85 and therefore not a straight line meaning @YaeVizsla is correct.
