PS: The "but Jedi got blasted by guns in the Clone Wars" it's no valid point at all. Take Aayla for example, she was surrounded by 100+ clones and only realized the betrayal at the last moment... No one (perhaps Yoda) could've escaped that.... But if those 100 soldiers were right in front of her and she knew they' would shoot? I doubt a single blast would touch her, or any Jedi Knight!!

PS2: Even because, when a Jedi/Sith can't defend the shot with his lightsaber they can always block it with their BARE HANDS (using the Force, obviously), like Vader, Kenobi, even that lame whinner Kylo Ren!!

So yes, it's only logical that Force wielders would have advantage over blaster users, lightsabers on or not.
